@MusicCandy Hi! I decided it was easier to just start a new thread. I can't figure out the old one.

I am headed to my mom's tomorrow until Sunday night. Today is the fifth anniversary of dad's death. I couldn't get up there today, so it's the first time I won't be with her on the actual day. I won't be on here this weekend, so I'm writing this on Wednesday.

Yesterday I made my first trip to the mountains in a long time. I hiked to Mary's Rock. It was not crowded and was great weather. It was kind of funny hiking in a t-shirt with snow on the ground!

Today we are celebrating my DIL's birthday. The actual day is Saturday but I'll be at mom's. I am going to make the Korean dessert that I made for New Year's, since their dog ate all the leftovers and she didn't get to try much of it. Then I have some cleaning to do, and some errands to run, and then pick her up 45 min away because my son is here at work near our house. I'm going early enough to drop by my other son's house first to meet his new dog. He and his fiancee are adopting a 2 year old. I need to do laundry to prepare for my trip, and need to write detailed instructions for my pet sitters. I have an old note to work from, but I have a new lady coming one day and I need to make it extra-detailed for her. She is a pet sitting company, so it will cost me, but I need another person in my rotation of feeders. So it's a busy day today!

I am grateful for my spring break this week that allows me to do all these things. I spent the weekend doing very little because I knew the rest of the week would be very busy! I don't like getting home the evening before I have to go back to work, since I won't get laundry, shopping, or cooking done, but it couldn't be helped!

I hope the new thread works out, and that I tagged you correctly so you will see it!

I hope your week has gone well, and here's to five more years of messages to come!

I had typed most of my message to you when my iPad froze, and I lost the whole thing. I will type it up again this afternoon or tomorrow. I’m just too annoyed right now!

Hello my friend, trying again. I feel you about the rusty cabinet from the basement! I know that if I chose something to throw out, that would be the thing he would look for a week later. We have plenty of broken stuff sitting around here too. Why??

My sad news this week is I had to have my last goat put down on Monday. She got all bloated up all of a sudden. She probably had a blockage, cancer, or some other big thing wrong. She had just turned 15. I could not get a farm vet to come. A mobile cat and dog vet agreed to come to euthanize her.

Now I am worried about the goose being lonely. After the goat was euthanized, and I went out to pay the vet, and went back to the goat shed to see the goat again, the goose ran in there in front of me, got between me and the goat, and would not let me get near her. She was squawking and hissing, and she has never hissed at me before. She was protecting her friend. It has been weird out in the animal pen this week with no goats for the first time in 17 years.

I am glad you had a good time in Williamsburg! I also had a good time at my daughter-in-law’s birthday party last weekend. Look at us being social!

I was going to walk this afternoon after the rain stopped, but I just could not get motivated. So I’m folding laundry and drinking bourbon.

I hope you’re well. I know you might not see this until next weekend since I’ve written it so late.

Fingers crossed that this message will actually post!

O I'm so sorry my sad friend. Animals can be more aware of emotions and protection than we know. We did not get any rain today, but a little bit yesterday, not near enough. You will have to look into getting another goat I think.  Your goose probably does need a companion, and you do too. I hope you can get outside some this weekend and feel some sunshine. Sending a warm hug.

I have gotten to some more corners in the basement and managed to get some junk into my car and to the dump before he saw it. And for sure, he wont miss it. The cabinet did go out of the house and I think he finally did load it ( or something similar) onto a trailer to go when he goes again. My sister in VT says she wants to come and visit me, but I'm too embarrassed to say its a good time now.  She just retired and we do get along, but I just cant face trying to put even some things in order and feel ok about her coming. Another sister mentioned having another sister weekend with all 4 of us and that's tricky with us in VT, VA and FL. I organized the last 2, and I'm not going to try it now.

It was an OK week for me. I had my annual check and everything was about the same as last year. They ask all the normal questions and one was, do you take medication for anxiety. No, I said, I have wine for that. Shen thought that was funny. The Tai chi class is getting more fun now that we are adding to the forms each week- it goes faster and a little less repetition. I do like it overall and I hope I can continue with some class locally when this study is over in August, It makes me slow down and be aware of balance.

I have a patient coming now, so I'll close it out for now. Take care of yourself, no one else will!

Hello my friend, this week has been very tiring for some reason. We are all off schedule at school because of all the stupid testing. I’m not sure why that would make me so tired, but it did. I’ve kept up with my exercise,, two walks,  and my yoga class. One walk was last Sunday, to a trail. I have not been to for about two years because of my various injuries. There was no one else there, and it was wonderful!Fourteen days left of school; two big days of testing this coming week.

I’m still getting used to having no goats around. The chicks are growing fast and are very cute, so it helps having them around. I tried to move some of them in with the goose so she wouldn’t be alone at night, but she wasn’t having it!

i’ll be leaving in a month to go to Korea, and my house is too embarrassing-looking inside for my daughter-in-law to even come over for the day, so I definitely understand. I will have a lot to do between school getting out and my leaving. A lot of it is going to have to be for my husband to do, like taking the many many tools out of my living room.

Did you decide about inviting your sister? Did your other sisters get organized with a joint visit somewhere?I want to have a 30th birthday party for my son while he is here, since I will miss his actual 30th birthday next February. I wanted to have both my sisters, my mom, my other son, and some of his friends. I had it all set up for a particular weekend, but now my one sister has to go home earlier. So now I have to choose which sister to exclude.

I tried medication for depression and anxiety about 10 years ago. I found it did help my depression, but didn’t put a dent in my anxiety, and I had issues with side effects anyway, so I stopped. I would rather go with the wine and bourbon plan as well!

I hope your week has been good. I hope you have been able to get outside, and the pollen is not bothering you too much! It got to me today so I just went in and took a shower.

have a good week, my friend!

Hello my friend, this week was a complete disaster for both diet and exercise. It was teacher appreciation week at school. One of my kindergartners, whose mom is a teacher, gave me a present every day. On Monday it was a bag full of caramel and chocolate covered pretzels. I ate half the bag that day, and most of it is now gone. Friday was a bag of cinnamon, mini rice, cakes drizzled with icing. The PTA provided something every day, much of it sugary treats, and I ate all kinds of stuff. On Friday, a kid brought in Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and the kindergarten teacher’s husband stopped at a local bakery and brought giant pastries for the team.

My knee had flared up on Sunday, so I skipped to my walks and only did one exercise video this week. I did do my yoga class. The combination of tons of extra calories with barely any exercise was bad timing!

our neighbor is having a yard sale today and asked us if we wanted to have a table. So we are taking a little bit of our junk over there. I honestly did not have the energy to put much effort into finding stuff in my house, but at least some of the junk will go. I know my husband has some stuff too, but I don’t know how much. I think mainly it’s going to be a big waste of time.

My son was going to have us over tomorrow for Mother’s Day, but I asked him to do it next week instead because that is the weekend before my birthday, so we can do both occasions at once. What are you doing for Mother’s Day?

I hope you are well, and enjoying the nice spring weather!

@SadMe70,

Hey, my friend, there's nothing like Junk Food to say how much they love us! Its a shame really, because there are things we would actually enjoy- gift certificates are always nice. Its Nurses week here and then Hospital week after that. The ED changed the code on their snack room so I can't get in now.. maybe that is better for me in the long run. I find other snacks already in my travels around the halls. You cant  do much about it when its right in front of you. I am keeping a salad in the frig now with spinach wraps so I have a lunch handy that I do enjoy. Work, well, that;'s another story.

I have stopped doing stairs at work, having some hip pain and I already have osteopenia. I try to walk extra if I don't have a lot of patients. twice a week online Tai chi going well, but that doesn't seem like exercise to me. We did get one walk in and the gym most evenings. Just trying our best.

With Fiance out of town last week-end and Monday, I hauled out 4 car loads of what I interpret as trash. I also organized a lot of his stuff and tossed out some plastic bins and shelves. I dared him to bring them back in. I had to clear out the area around the pipes in the basement so a plumber can get to them. I have saved enough to replace some pipes and whatever else needs to be done. Not my choice of what to spend money on, but it has to be done.  He is back now so I have to bring up more "trash" when he doesnt see me doing it. I just cant stand conflict or arguments.

I was supposed to be off tomorrow, Mother's Day after 7 AM, but the boss screwed up the schedule and no one wanted to work tomorrow afternoon last minute, of course. So I'm going to stay over, get a nap and work 11A to 7P. Fiance will have to pick up Rachael and take care of her dinner ect. until 11. Abi, Mark, and Rachael, and us 2 plan to see "The Devil Wears Prada next Sunday for Mother's Day. I think it will be funny. I am finishing up the" Count Of Monte Christo", PBS series which is a very good rendering of the story as they always do a good job. I don't usually like action shows, but its not gratuitous violence, but a fast-moving plot with beautiful filming. One more episode which I can watch at work.

I'm with you on the yard sale idea. People don't pay much for second hand, but its worth getting even a little bit out of your way. I hope your knee gets better this week. And especially, that You have a nice time to celebrate your birthday and Mother's Day. I have been spending more time inside cleaning than I'd like, but then we finally got some rain. Maybe all the sugar treats will be gone next week!

Hello my friend. I started my weekend off with a big clumsy move, when I spilled my entire cup of steaming hot chai all over my lap. I got it into my pajama top and bottom, my sweatshirt pocket, my slippers, the chair, the table, the floor! We have aloe plants so I immediately rubbed some on my legs and I didn’t get burned too badly.

There was less junk food at school this week, but still some, and of course I ate it. I did do all my exercise though. Today we are spending the afternoon with my son and daughter-in-law for my birthday, which is Wednesday. My son is an accomplished bread, baker, but has never made a cake before. He wanted to make my birthday cake for his first cake, so he went and bought two round cake pans. I’m so touched that he is going to make a cake for me!

It seems pretty rude that the ED locked you out, but that is what I would need to keep me away from the junk food! If it’s there, I eat it.

Sorry to hear that your hip is bothering you to the extent that you can’t do your stairs. I know you have done those for a long time. I am getting my first bone scan on Friday of next week. It seems already pretty late to do a baseline at 56, when I am well into perimenopause.I’m not sure my insurance will cover it , but I’m getting a bonus from work at the end of the school year, and I decided to spring for it myself. My mom has some Osteo issues also, so I want to start tracking myself.

I am impressed and jealous that you got so much stuff out of your house while your fiancé was away! We took stuff to my neighbors last weekend for that yard sale. In the six hours I was there, four people stopped, and we sold one $5 item. She kept the stuff and is going to have another yard sale over Memorial Day weekend. It doesn’t seem like much of it is going to move though, and then I am going to have to haul it all back here. I would take it all right to the local charity shop, but we had quite a few few things that are new in the box that are actually worth something, so I’m sure my husband will want to keep those to try and sell them “someday,”

I’m sorry that you had to work on Mother’s Day, especially as it was unexpected! How was the movie? I just re-watched the first one last week. The first time I watched it years ago, was on the recommendation of a coworker, who said the boss reminded her of our boss. I would probably enjoy the count of Monte Cristo series also. I’ve read several books by Dumas, including that one, and enjoyed them all.

I’m headed out to feed my chickens and goose, then get ready to go to my son‘s house. I hope you enjoy the weekend!

@SadMe70

Wow, I'm so sorry that you had a burn, aloe does usually help but you might need an ibupropen if it bothers you getting to sleep. I've done that too and besides the burn, you missed your chai!

Things moved quicker this week on the basement situation. I saved more than enough to get the pipes that run through the ceiling of the basement evaluated and I was sure replaced. copper, and rusted and leaking. Fortunately, I remembered an old friend/plumber of my ex husbands that I worked at our house then- and he is 70 but still does some work. He came over and verified that this is a big messy job, and with Fiance's help he says he can do it for a fraction of a company's cost. They plan to tackle it next weekend when I'm at work and Rachael will be at her Dads since there will be no running water or toilet during the process. They figure a day and a half.   THEN! fiance moved out and cleared the entire cabinets and stuff on that back wall and is sealing the b floor since there were leaks and damage, its amazing.    I have no idea how he plans to  put it all back and if he will do it in an organized way like I started, but its all stuffed in the opposite corner now so I have to let it go until they are done.

I can ditto your yardsale experience . My ex puts stuff on the lawn almost every weekend and does make some money, but not near what its worth. He has a lot of stuff too- how did I end up with 2 guys like that? But at least his house is on a main street with traffic and he has friends that come back over and over and he likes to talk ( same with fiance) . We do not get the traffic so, its useless to use our yard. I put a few things on e-bay and I want to try to sell my music teaching stuff too, but then its packaging and mailing and so on.

Good for you getting in your exercise. We did too most days. I'm keeping my salad habit and its so much easier when its already in the frig ready to roll in a wrap. Work is just what is around the tablesa. It was Hospital week so we had little bundt cakes and a bbq meal. But it was more every day so i miss most of it - so much the better. We are going to the movie tomorrow. I try to avoid that popcorn, for me and Rachael, not good for her teeth-but Abi says they always get it so she will want some too. she is so funny-- Fiance took her to the hardware store and they give out little bags. I ask her if she wants to go out to the hardware store and she laughs and says "corn, corn". she knows she shouldn't have it, but he gets it anyway, so its a joke on Mom.

Getting hot next week and we can only hope for some more rain. Church with Annointing tomorrow and I already wrote out my personal prayer for them. So now its getting through the rest of the night shift . I didn't know school here is out after Labor Day, they used to go until mid June. My piano students continue some lessons but breaks when they go on vacation. Still great fun to teach them.

Have a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY and what a nice treat to have your son bake a cake. You are blessed my friend.

Hello my friend! I had a successful chai drinking morning today, no spills or burns! I did my morning exercises and my walk, but missed my yoga class due to a couple of appointments. Unfortunately, my yoga teacher is now on vacation until after I leave. I can still do stuff on my own, but look forward to that class each week.

I broke down and went to the Goodwill yesterday and bought four pairs of shorts, after trying on some of mine last weekend that I had wanted to take to Korea. Sadly, they are too small. Normally, I would not allow myself to buy bigger clothes, but with the time crunch, I need to have something. One of the ladies on my team at work made me a big pan of bar cookies with coconut and chocolate chips for my birthday. The kindergarten teacher I work with brought me a little cake from Wegmans, plus my son made an amazing cake and I have four big slices of that in the freezer. I meant to put the remainder of the bar cookies in the freezer, but oops, they seem to be all gone! My birthday with my son and daughter-in-law was lovely. He made a very nice chicken dinner for us besides the cake. My team at work was also very sweet. They announce birthdays on the morning announcements, and when the kindergarten class I was in at the time heard that, they all sang happy birthday to me. It was so very sweet!

Another birthday treat was that I got my car back!!! Thanks to the body shop fighting for us with the insurance company, the front and back are both fixed, look brand new, and I did not have to get a salvage title. My husband is planning to take lunch for the entire crew over there one day, pizzas, or subs or something like that.

Now that school is out, I can get started on my great big to-do list to prep the house, etc. for my trip. We need this rain a lot, but it is making a few things more difficult. I had my car scheduled for an oil change when the rec happened back in November, so that needs to be done before I go away. I was going to make an appointment with the mechanic, but my husband says he will do it. But, that can’t be done in the rain. I need to get the car seats installed too.

I am so happy for you that you are both getting your basement issues fixed, and possibly cleaned out more or at least organized better. I know once all that is done you will be very happy! My neighbor was going to have more yard sales this weekend and hopefully move some of our stuff, but of course that’s not happening in the rain either. I’m sure some of it would sell on eBay, but I do not feel like having to take pictures, write ads, pack, and ship.

What movie are you going to see? Even though it is bad for her teeth, and you are probably annoyed with your finance about it, but I think it’s so lovely for Rachael to have her joke on you!

It’s good that your piano students continue in the summer when they are home. I would tutor through the summer if I were not visiting with my grandchildren. Being around children just makes me happy.

Enjoy the break in the heat!

Birthdays are just going to be more treats and that is that! Especially when you work with kind people and of course kids. The K's singing had to be such a nice lift to your day. My fiance brought back these candied pecan squares that are so Sweet, and same thing- I told myself that I'd just eat a half, but that has not happened. I still have 3. They are in fact so sweet that I feel a little sick after eating a whole one, but the addiction just gets us all. I'm glad that you are surrounded by love, in whatever form it comes. The dinner and cake from your son is special, not many guys will do that.

This week-end, the pipes are being cut out and replaced, and it may take another week-end to get them all. Rachael is at her Dad's and I just stayed over at work so now I'm back on the clock. I slept pretty well on a gurney from 730 to 230 and got a shower. It is a very dark room so that helped. I could probably manage a day or 2, but Rachael has to be able to use the bathroom ect. so it works out OK. Fiance just shoved a whole side of the room of cabinets and tools , including the shelves I took out, to one side of the basement so now that is completely blocked off. I have no thought that he will get rid of any of it and it won't be organized. But at least, the bathrooms will drain better, we hope.

I am working night shift Memorial Day and then I saw I have a short check up at 10:30 Tuesday when I'd normally be sleeping. I'll have to get Rachael off to Day Support and then O may have fiance drive me over since I may be tired, hard to predict. I also may have to have my bridge redone after 25 years, is has held up a long tome. It is a big bridge and was an ordeal the first time, and very expensive, so I'll just keep working, ha ha.

Happy that you finally got your car back and not as stressful as it might have been., Getting ready for the big trip will take some time and effort, but I know you are looking forward to seeing the grandkids, I guess not babies now.

We went to see Prada 2, and it was a lot of fun. There were some plot twists and the actors are mostly the same. It was a fun time with Abi and Mark and then we ate Mexican. I am also glad for the rain this week and it doesnt much matter to me at work. Good for you no more hot drink spills and I hope the rest of your week-end is peaceful.

Hello my friend, a pretty uneventful week here. I have been doing very little exercise in the mornings, and my yoga teacher is on vacation, but I did take one nice long hilly walk yesterday. I have been getting some of my medical appointments done - dental cleaning, physical, bloodwork, and my first bone scan. Disappointing results from the bone scan - I have osteopenia already, but not to the point that my doctor thinks I should take calcium supplements. She wants me to up my vitamin D, though. The frustrating thing is that I have not been doing the types of exercise I used to do, which might have kept my bone density up, because of the problems with my knee. One of the conundrums of aging, I suppose.

I will be leaving Wednesday for Korea. I have been doing a lot of little chores around the house to get ready. Today I spent some time out in the beautiful weather getting the animal pen spruced up, and the feed cans filled. I bought a new backpack for my airplane personal item. My old one was getting a little shabby. The new one has more pockets plus a water bottle pocket on the side. I get excited about things like new backpacks, more than a new purse!

Do you have nice new pipes in your basement? I am impressed that you could sleep on a gurney in a hospital and actually get some rest! I am a terrible sleeper, and doubt I could manage much sleep at all in that situation.

How did your checkup go? Sorry to hear about the bridge. I spent tons of money on my mouth over about a three year period. I am glad to get a break from that, having not cracked any more teeth or ruined any more crowns lately. Dental work is definitely an ordeal, and I am sorry you have to go through that!

The rain this past week was lovely and much needed, but I am really enjoying the beautiful weather from the last couple of days.

I look forward to seeing Prada 2 also,  though it may not be until after the babies go home again. I did watch Remarkably Bright Creatures on Netflix. It’s been a few years since I read the book, which I loved, but I thought they did a good job with the movie. Plus I do like Sally Field.

I hope your shifts this weekend are not too busy! Next weekend I will be in Korea already, but I will send at least short notes when I can!

I'm with you on the fantastic weather, even though I only enjoyed it an hour yesterday walking with Rachael. We needed the rain too. On the health front, the dentist thinks she was able to patch with a filling around the bridge which I really hope is OK for awhile. With the osteopenia, I wouldn't be that concerned. It IS age and all of us women are prone. I have been in the osteopenia range since I was 50 and still moving the needle a little each year and at 73, that's pretty good. You probably get enough calcium from the dairy you already get. I take a VD supplement with V K added, which is the new thing. Of course, as you already know, healthy greens and veggies and exercise helps the most.

The pipes turned out to be a major ordeal. All the pipes in the house from the tub, toilets and going through the basement and out the house had to be replaced. All week. Today they pumped the septic which was overfull because the clogs at the other ends wouldn't allow drainage. The septic people are coming back to replace the last stretch of pipes outside going to the tank and that will be the biggest expense. However, Thank God the plumber family friend did great work at 50 an hour, flat rate which saved me thousands. That should take care of the whole operation for as long as i'm in the house. Another bonus, Fiance worked with him the whole time(yes! he could ) and now he knows the whole layout of plumbing if anything else even needs to be done.

That was basically it for me last week, but we did get to the gym most nights for Rachael to bounce some basketballs and get a nice shower, which is better there anyway with their walk in showers.

I hope your preparations for the trip go smoothly, I know you are excited. I'll say a prayer for sage travels and off you go my friend!

Hello my friend, I am home for a couple of days to go to doctor appointments.  I had a good week in Korea.  My son and I did a short but very challenging (for us!) mountain hike together, and then went to a market and ate some cool food.  I had a kimchi pancake which I've had before, but my adventurous dish was an octopus that they take out of the tank, chop up, and you eat it wiggly.  It was disconcerting and I won't to it again, but I had seen this on TV and wanted to try something new.

We spent two days here in VA with my older son and DIL. We went berry picking one day, and to Sky Zone trampoline place the next.  I've been at my mom's for about the last three weeks.  We've done so many things and had so much fun.  The babies' English is coming along, nowhere near the fluency of their Korean, but that's to be expected.  My granddaughter is further along in everything, and really tries to absorb things.

This summer I have been to two kid-oriented amusement parks, jumped on trampolines, went to a nature day camp last week, done many puzzles and read many books, done lots of crafts like painting, taken walks, had picnics, been to the pool, been to a splashpad, played baseball and soccer, made a rhubarb pie, made brownies, wore many temporary tattoos of cute animals, a library playdoh day, visited a fire engine museum, did an easter egg hunt after decorating bags and eggs, been to indoor play places, bought 10 painted lady caterpillars to watch them cocoon and hatch, spent time with both of my sisters, and more.

It has been tremendously fun, but honestly wearing me out, and I am glad of a few days at home to reset. We are cramming a year's worth into two months and it's a bit overwhelming.  But, I'm so grateful to have the two months. One day this week my granddaughter said to me, "Grandma, I love you." Last night my DIL video called me because my granddaughter was crying because she couldn't tell me goodnight.  It means SO much to me that she feels the beginning of some connection to me.  They are still terrible at video calls - won't sit still for them at all - so I know there will still be little contact for the rest of the year, but I have these moments to treasure.

I'm so sorry about the extent of your pipe replacement! That is really major.  I'm glad you were at least able to get a good rate from the plumber.  I know you are trying to pay off your house, and the last thing you needed was to put a bunch of money elsewhere. Ugh.

How is everything else going? Let me know how you are and I will check back in again when I can.  I head back to PA on Tuesday.  Then I bring the DIL and kids to Colonial Beach on Saturday for three weeks there.

I hope you are well, and look forward to more regular contact once I am living in my own house again!

This is the paragraph that won't post.  I'm trying various edits to figure out what is not allowed, since they don't actually tell you!

Behavior-wise, I saw some epic tantrums back in Korea and a few here.  I'm sure my granddaughter channels her mom's moods.  When my DIL gets moody and/or dumps on my son, my granddaughter, and less often my grandson, have tantrums.  My DIL has been acting happy and relaxed while in PA around my mom, I think in part because she actually is enjoying herself, in part because she rarely shows her bad side to us, and partly because my son is not present to give her an outlet for her negativity.  I believe that is largely why the kids are acting more happy. They also cling only to her if they are hurt or upset, mostly shutting my son out. He is also having issues at work with multiple people, which is a reflection on his own poor people skills, but these other men are being very unprofessional, and the boss refuses to step in.  So, I ache and worry for him just as much as ever.

It is nice to hear that you are back and thank you for sharing some of your adventures. It must be a moment that you have been waiting for when your granddaughter tells you she loves you. You gave them so much to enrich their young lives with everything you can cram into a short time. The happy experiences will mean so much to you and them as they grow. Bilingual kids have a jump ahead and I'm guessing that Korean kids get English in school or one way or another. Having parents of different languages must make it more natural for them and the early learning sets in their brain more, or so I've heard. I bet they are so cute too!

Sounds like its up and down with the DIL as it before. It must be hard to see your son having the burden of it all and work issues too. I hope the beach time is relaxing after the whirlwind of country hopping and nonstop activities. Summer is going by fast.

My life has been ho hum and of course hot. We open the windows unless its 100 and the trees keep it pretty cool in the house until it gets humid too. So the AC had to be turned on a few days, and we need more rain. I planted a few tomatoes and some herbs that are doing OK. The mountain mint and Joe Pye weed I planted a couple years ago are attracting the variety of insects again and I love to just watch them. Rest of the family doing fine. I don't know about the septic replacement yet and I left it up to Fiance to call the engineer which he says he did. I'll be glad to get it done one way or another. Not much news other than that. No real vacations this year, but its OK for now. One day at a time.

Your happy news makes me smile and you so deserve  it. Till next time, my friend.

I wrote a longer message that I thought had not posted, but now I see it is on a new page!

I am glad to hear that your garden and herbs are doing well! My husband has gotten some cherry tomatoes so far, and a lot of patty pan squash. I have never planted Joe Pye weed, and had to look up what it looks like. It’s very pretty! I’m sure the butterflies and bees are loving that. We do have a lot of mint, and some Comfrey that the pollinators like.

I hope your septic system is closer to getting replaced!
