@Chaoticmesss I feel that loneliness every day dr . I know how much it hurts . HUGS
@Chaoticmesss At times it can feel overwhelming, but reaching out to a community for support is a great way to figure out that you aren't alone in this disorder so I want to commend you for doing that. There are a lot of people here who would be glad to lend you support and speak about their experience.
@Chaoticmesss I hear you on that. I'm lonely even in a crowd because I just don't feel like anyone understands how challenging the simplest things can be and that lack of understanding creates a real sense of distance, of separation. I'm brand new to this reaching out idea, but I can tell you that just having written one reply I have a small little sense of feeling understood and maybe a little less alone.
I don't really understand the ins and outs of this site (it seems great, though), but if you need someone to listen or bounce thoughts off or just crab about life with, feel free to reach out to me. I'm by no means a counselor (though with the amount of time I've spent "on the couch" I maybe ought to be given an honorary degree or something :D), but if chatting with someone that might "get it" would help at all, I'm glad to try as I think it'd be nice for me to have that as well.
I hope you find what it is you need, regardless of whether it's here or elsewhere.
- Jay
@notmyselfinmaine thank you so much. Id love to talk to you.
@Chaoticmesss Cool! I'm not finding a way to message you through the site. Do you know if there's a way to do that?
@Chaoticmesss Hi Chaotic - I did a little research and I can't seem to find a way to have direct member-to-member conversations. Perhaps we can just chat here?
How are you doing?
@chaoticmess
Hey chaotic, I know that brain description (chaos) too well...and remember it like yesterday, because it was so overwhelming and disempowering
The best way not to drown is to summon a lifeguard. And you have. You are Not going to sink.
It sucks to feel how you do. I spent many years there, afraid to reach out due to judgement and the "advice" given...like "suck it up" or "why should you be so special" or "why cant' you handle this" or "what's wrong with you" name it, easier to just isolate.
If you cut or have other maladaptive behavior, there is a another whole layer of judgement.
You've found a safe place. Please keep treading water. It does get better. You've made the first step
(hugs)
