@gracie2000 A lot of those symptoms match up...how did you find out you had BPD, if you don't mind me asking?

i had a major "episode" at school. My teacher basically saved my life and referred me to my principal, principal felt that I needed a break from school and to go to a doctor. Went to my family doctor and he referred me to a psychiatrist. The first psychiatrist didn't last long because my mother hated him. So the second one was a great match for me and he gave me the correct mess and that's what he labeled me.

I went to therapy once when I was in middle school for self harm, my dad seen the bandages on my arm and took me almost the next day but I was really scared of what she would say and what would happen. I was afraid if I opened up I would be put on medications or sent to highland so I didn't open up completely to her (which I regret every day). I thought what I was suffering from was paranoid schizophrenia (a subtype of schizophrenia) after that due to some symptoms that related, but reading about Borderline Personality, it could be a mix of Discourage BPD or Self Destructive BPD with a lack of sleep since I have trouble sleeping at night.. would there be any way of getting a for sure diagnosis of what is wrong with me?? I would really appreciate it if I could get a reply real soon.. greatest reguards 💚💙

Hello! the only thing you can do for yourself, is to either go to your doctor and they might send you to a psychiatirst or just go directly to a licensed phyciatrist. I understand that its hard to want to completely open up because of fear of whats going to happen next, but in order for the docs to treat you correctly and put you on a good pathway to a happy and fulfilling life is for you to tell them everything thats going on and how you truly feel. Best Regaurds, Gracie.
