Going to therapy!
I'm going to a regular ol' therapist today. First appointment. My focal point will be my current stressors, not the past - I feel DBT and self help are better suited for that. I have no DBT therapists or groups around. So I need tips and advice on how to make therapy go well!

Hello, darling. I'm sure that the therapist will know how to treat you because he must have some experience with BPD patients since he started his job.
Some good tips for a good therapy you can find here: 6 ways to open up and talk in therapy (click)
Feel free to share how it went :)

I hope your appointment went well! First appointments can be so nerve racking. I really hope you liked the therapist.
It often happens that the type of treatment people want is not available locally. This is so unfortunate! Technology is helping this so much...you can reach DBT therapists regardless of location. I just pulled up a list of 7 Cups' online therapists who work with BPD. Here's what I found. See if any of these might work for you.
