Hi everyone!
Just a quick introduction.
Been diagnosed for 11 years and coming to terms with my condition and managing somewhat well nowadays. Still having hard times but it's getting better. Sometimes I even feel gratitude for being able to feel positive emotions so strongly, it helps me to be passionate and survive.
Sometimes of course I can be the jerk and can't handle my anger and frustration and paranoia and all that. But I'm learning.
Hello there, @unisammal
I'm so glad to hear you're determined to learn and that you make progress and are able to accept the inevitable failure that comes time and again! :) I don't know much about the condition but I can only imagine how hard it is to deal with something like this and I really think you're strenght and optimism are to be greatly appreciated. Good luck and don't ever give up the fight! I wish you all the best!
@unisammal, it's so great to have you join the BPD community here on 7cups. Coming to terms with the diagnosis is a tough one. Have you found that in the process of coming to terms with the diagnosis it has made the symptoms easier to deal with?
@InvaderStitch
Yes I have found that. Accepting them kindly is the first step for me to recover and rewire my thoughts and actions. I don't make myself feel even worse for the symptoms than I already feel by hating them and feeling too much unnecessary guilt. Instead I try to be compassionate to myself and correct things calmly.
