I have borderline personality disorder.
It sucks. I want to blame it for my bad behaviour, but I know that's a crappy thing to do. Just because I have a mental disorder doesn't give me the right to be abusive.

Hey! You're right, just having a mental disorder doesn't necessarily give you the right to be abusive... and it's easy to blame BPD for how we behave. But the thing is, you're doing the best you can. I have been incredibly abusive to others in my past and looking back I regret it, and yeah it wasn't right, but I didn't know how else to get what I wanted and needed from other people.
Try not to beat yourself up over it too much. Learn from it, don't let it bring you down <3
You know what, sometimes people are abusive, it doesn't matter if they have BPD or not. People don't always intend to be that way. The important thing is you recognise those behaviours & you want to change :)
@ponypawprints I agree. The first step is in recognizing your behaviour and wanting to get better. One day at a time.
