Struggling with change
This summer has been kind of hard. I finished my associates degree, which I'm incredibly proud of, but I also had to stop seeing my therapist, gained weight, and next month I'll be moving out of my parents house and into an apartment with my fiance, and I'll also be starting at a new school. My BPD has always made it hard for me to deal with change. I'm scared about moving because I'm worried that I won't be making enough money at my job to keep up with rent. I'm also worried that between school and work, I won't have enough time to help my dog adjust to apartment living. I'm worried that I'm not going to adjust to my new school and that I'm going to fail. I'm so anxious and angry all. the. time. I know it may all sound silly, but if any of you have struggled with similar situations, how did you deal with it? Sorry if this isn't the correct thread for this post, I'm new and thought that I would ask people who have BPD, too.

Certainly sounds like a lot of changes. Congrats on earning your associates degree. Definitely something to be proud of. It's normal to feel nervous about all of these big changes, especially with them all happening at once. How is your support system? Like typoz said before communication with your fiance and any other support you have is going to be important.
On another note what kind of dog do you have?
@InvaderStitch my support system is good. I think what's been bothering me the most is that all my friends who are going through similar changes don't seem nearly as nervous as I am. They all just say that they're so excited, which don't get me wrong, I am too. It's just scary. Adulthood is hitting me really quickly.
My dog Pearl is daschund mixed with something else that we're not entirely sure of. She's used to being outside for most of the day and coming in at night, but my apartment complex doesn't allow dogs outside unattended for longer than an hour. My biggest concern is her adjusting to staying inside most of the time.
