I wish other people could understand the intensity of what Borderlines feel!

It seems like no matter how you try to explain it to someone - no matter how much emotion, or emphasis, or heart you put into explaining it... they just. DON'T. Get. It.

Does anyone else feel guilty almost when they try to explain It? Like it's not normal and you should be able to control it?

@JuijkSilver1991 Yes! I feel guilty whenever I talk about it. I feel like everyone thinks I'm being dramatic too. Especially when people are like "awh yeah everyone feels like that sometimes"

@JuijkSilver1991 Definitely, and I come up with all kinds of flowery ways to explain it, even though I feel guilty. I'm lucky to be so articulate, but people still don't understand. I feel Crystl too, on normal folks being like, " everyone feels that way sometimes." Because no, everyone does not feel this way sometimes.

BPD is a physical difference in the brain, not a chemical one, meaning we are physically capable of experiencing emotions more intensely than a normal person, even a normal person with depression. People without BPD are PHYSICALLY NOT CAPABLE of knowing what we experience. Most people, even if they've heard of BPD, don't know that, so cut them some slack, but also maybe explain the science, because people find it easier to understand than the nebulous horror we experience.
