should i have expected a different or a longer response? advice please?
"First, I want you to know I am confused as to why this is triggering me. I dont want you to change how anything is and I dont want you to filter anything on my behalf or think you are doing anything wrong. Third, I want to add women too and the girls you choose are hella awesome, please dont think that I dont want that for us. I think its more of a fear that im not enough or not worthy or something. I think I feel silly saying I am in an open relationship, when its more im okay with you having complete freedom. Which I know you have never told me I cant do anything. When you told me you werent comfortable with adding guys I just decided I wouldnt talk to any out of respect. And whats silly is I dont really care about adding guys or not. I think Im being triggered because of my past relationships where I was told I just wasnt good enough or enough and that I should want them to be happy. So just let them do whatever and accept it, even if I didnt even know, while I was being controlled to the extreme. Which is in no way something you should have to deal with, cause you are amazing and have shown nothing but respect and honesty. Also, when you said you fell in love with me when we fucked way back. What would be stopping you from that same feeling with other women that you are super close with anyways once you sleep with them? And honestly if you did that would be accepted, I want you to be happiest regardless. I just think past traumas and low self worth is fucking with me. Im just trying to work it out in my head I guess."-me
"Aww, Thank you for communicating that with me! I know that was probably difficult for you to do, and, in all honest, I have similar insecurities myself. But i have faith you love me and wont stop loving me so i can somewhat push past it." -him
end of convo.

It's very difficult to say much to be honest, as there is very little contest. But... after reading, I wondered if the discomfort that you are feeling may not be that much about his reply. I wondered if it is there to tell you something else. What do you think?
I have personally never been in an open relationship, although it has been considered with my last partner and I was curious about it. Reading about your experience, I was surprised to hear that your partner wants to add women into your relationship, but would be uncomfortable to add men. That strikes me as pretty unbalanced, a sort of open relationship actually open only on one side. But it is your relationship of course, and what feels unbalanced to me may feel totally ok to you. I just thought I would mention it, simply as something to reflect on :)
