Misconceptions and Stigma are everywhere surrounding mental health and there is so many just with personality disorders alone. I wanted us to have a bit of a forum discussion about stigma and keep the conversation going. How this works is I will post a bunch of questions and you can just answer at your own pace and free will! I'd love to see what everyone things and maybe see a new prospective on this!

I feel that stigmas are fueled by judgement, ignorance, and complacency. Sadly, those who do not understand personality disorders and don't try to understand, pretty much automatically reject anything that is different due to complacency. First, they judge the person without having any formal knowledge of the disorder. Second, they remain ignorant and uninformed. Last, they are complacent with their ignorance... Something to that effect.
