Burdened (TW)
All of life’s burdens are piling up, and I want everything to stop; enough is enough.
I put on a fake smile, tell the world that I’m fine, but the darkness is consuming my heart and my mind.
I slip under the waves of a tempestuous sea; I flash S.O.S. but there’s no rescue for me.
And why would you save me, I have madness inside. Every time I wake up, I wish that I’d d*ed.
My mask is cracking, and my grip- it is slipping. The threads holding me here have long started ripping.
Who is this sad person, in unbearable pain? Could the me from before be one and the same?
When I look in the mirror all I see is the shell, of a person who’s ill, and who used to be well.
All of life’s burdens have piled up, please make the pain stop- I’ve had enough.
