“A Disabled Generation” 🌍

On this journey of life,
Every wing has its right and left. 🪽
For the wing of love, there is anger.
For the wing of destiny, there is fear.
For the wing of pain, there is healing.
For the wing that wounds, there is forgiveness. 💔
For the wing of pride, there is humility.
For the wing of tears, there is joy. 😊
For the wing of dignity, there is disgrace.
For the wing of letting go, there is holding on.
We can only fly with two wings—
And they can stay steady in the air
Only when they are in balance! ⚖️
Two beautiful wings are true wholeness.
But…
There is a kind of people who believe
That perfection means keeping
Only one wing alive all the time.
But ask me
A bird with one wing is incomplete.
An angel with one wing is incomplete.
A butterfly with one wing is already dead. 🦋
So these people,
Who cut off one of their wings
In the pursuit of “perfection,”
Have created instead—
A disabled generation of humanity. 🌍

I love your poem.
It asks a valid question.
When we are deemed lesser in society?
Do we just give up?
When our wings are clipped, do we just give up?
Or does it fuel our drive to show what we can do, not what we can't!
To advocate for ourselves .
Embrace uniqueness.
Celebrate difference.
I found your words to be captivating and illuminating.
