Did You Ever
‘Did You Ever’
Did you ever lie in the grass at night
And count the stars, peeking through the blanket of the sky?
Did you trace constellations with your fingertips
And marvel at how close they seemed?
Did you ever think about the butterfly’s dance
Or her delicate wings?
Or about the little worlds that make their homes in trees?
Did you ever think about the Wind and its ways?
Or about the seasons that come and go
So slowly. And so quickly.
Did you ever think about the many rooms
That hide in verses?
And the many doors we find in words?
Did you ever think about the beauty
In the rays of Hope that shine on a weary heart?
Or about Healing and its mysterious ways?
Did you ever look in the mirror
And see the person you truly are?
No less beautiful, no less magical
Than the stars that light up the night sky
And the blissful butterflies
And the worlds in the trees
And the Wind
And the poems you hold dear.
Did you ever think about
The beauty in being human?

@LoveMyMoonflowers Wow, what a beautiful and thoughtful reflection! I’ve definitely had moments like that, lying in the grass, staring at the stars, and feeling all the magic in the world. It’s easy to forget how incredible life is sometimes, but thinking about these things really makes you appreciate the beauty in the small moments.
