Don't Like (Poem)
I was laying in bed, feeling extra sad and lonely. Thinking about how people in my life have mistreated me. Starting with the bullying in school, to ignoring me, to getting me into trouble. Nothing I ever did or do is ever good enough! This poem is directed at myself and my situation. My lot in life. How I feel almost all the time. ☹️
People don't like you my friend.
Doesn't matter how kind or caring you are.
Doesn't matter how far.
People don't like you my friend.
They made up their mind.
To them you will never be fine.
People don't like you my friend.
Your personality is not what they want.
They rather you not exist at all.
But they have fun watching you fall.
People don't like you my friend.
Doesn't matter what you do.
Doesn't matter what you didn't do.
None of that matters.
But you make a clatter,
You will be in trouble for sure!
They have already shown you the door.
@tryingtosurvive2024 I'm sorry you always feel that way💖 but another masterpiece wriiten from the heart💖 your always welcome in my door💖💖

@Tinywhisper11 I hate feeling this way. I feel like what is wrong in my head forces me to feel this way.
@tryingtosurvive2024 I know it's not possible for you, by really think meds would help you 💗
@Tinywhisper11 Here is the problem with meds, my doctors wanted to put me on them but I have another problem. High Blood Pressure. That makes taking the right kind of meds for my mental health physically dangerous for me.
Heyy...@tryingtosurvive2024.... when I first read your poem... it really hurt me in a way that made me want to write an opposite version, to flip the sadness into something hopeful. But then I realised… I cant save you from pain. Pain is real and inevitable and Im just a stranger on the internet. Rewriting words doesn’t undo what you’ve been through. That made me feel helpless… and honestly, really sad.(I hope I’m not making this about me.)
What I truly want to say is... I’m so sorry you had to go through all of this. And no, this is not out of sympathy but of solidarity. The pain you carry ....it’s not your fault. The people who hurt you are to blame. You did not deserve this.
So here’s what I want to leave you with:
I am glad you exist.
Reading your poem made me ache but never once did I wish you didn’t exist — only that you hadn’t had to endure so much. I found myself hoping you have strength and moments of peace and people who make the weight a little lighter.
Your existence is not a burden.
You are seen.
And you’re held with compassion .... not because you have to earn it but simply because you are.
Take care... okay?!
@azurePond my pain is a combination of ADHD, being bullied, being teased, being ignored, treated rudely, rejection from Churches, and left feeling lonely and confused about all of it.
@tryingtosurvive2024 I am really sorry you’ve had to carry all of that. It’s tough to navigate but I’m glad you have poetry as a way to express it. ADHD is absolutely not something to be seen as a burden or a flaw—it’s not your fault even though it can be hard to make others see it that way. The way people treat us isn’t something we can control but I do wish I could’ve been there to stand up to the bullies. I know and I have seen how painful the scars of bullying can be. You’re not responsible for how others treated you and their actions don’t define your worth. You deserve so much better than what you've been given. *sending you warm vibes *
@azurePond thank you for your kind words. I know it takes a little time to write that much to someone you don't know. It's really appreciated. 💖
