Golden Dreams

As brooks from melting mountains seek deep rivers ever ,

Dreams never cease flooding; but when rills as cascades

Meet lakes, slow-tranquil they search beauty in this bower

'Midst hills — cannas, sallows, stars in dawn's shades.

As rain, soft voice — known and unknown — have sang,

Dreams instead stood drowned. No! Saviours eleven

Arrived with first sunlight, touched heart with this new klang —

Small and kind, still charming— turning dreams heaven.

As hues of seven colours rid dawn of darkness,

Dreams cling life to dead self, of reflections

Small-joyous-special, of being caress,

Giving partners days of springs, strong connections.

O dreams! Mighty than thou, a sky shalt not fly,

Thou are my own, grief shan't turn o'er this cry!
