Hello Void

Hi, Void.

"Hi, Aura."

I saw her in my dream last night.

She was braiding my sister’s hair, humming.

There was sun.

"There is always sun in dreams that lie."

She smiled at me.

Called me her moon.

"She did that when you were small, remember?"

She looked real. I reached for her.

But my hands passed through smoke.

"It wasn’t her. It was memory pretending to be mercy."

Why does my mind play these games?

"Because your heart begs for softness,

even from shadows."

I woke up choking on hope.

"I know that taste. Bitter, isn't it?"

I hate this.

"I know."

I walked past where our house used to be.

There was a child’s shoe. Not hers.

But it still felt like grief.

"All rubble looks like your own after enough loss."

Do you think they felt fear?

"When the sky became fire?"

Yes.

"Maybe for a second.

Then the light took them."

And me? What took me?

"Not light. Just silence."

Sometimes I scream into pillows.

So the world doesn’t know I’m still breaking.

"The world knows. It just looks away."

Will I ever be whole again?

"No. But you will be something else.

Not whole, but honest."

What’s the point of surviving if nothing is left?

"You are left.

And that matters more than you know."

I don’t believe you.

"That’s okay. I’ll believe for you, until you can."

Will you stay?

"Always, Aura."
