I am who I am
Life is like a poem,
For poems are used to verbalize emotion
Therefore my intent is not to depress, but to express.
I want to be loved,
Yet I don’t feel that I deserve it.
I want to ask you what you think of me,
But I don’t know you and you don’t know me,
So why the *** should I care.
Yet I do care,
Too much…
I dream that one day I will love me for ME,
And not for anybody else.
I dream that I’ll have high self esteem,
And not high self doubt.
First I need to become familiar with vulnerability,
Before I can start gaining stability
I will be happy.
But just not all the time,
For I am human.
And I am who I am for a reason.

Thank you for sharing your introspective poem! Your exploration of self-love, vulnerability, and the human experience is deeply resonant. It's a beautiful reminder that it's okay to feel a range of emotions and that the journey toward self-acceptance is ongoing. Keep embracing your unique journey! 🌈❤️✨
@s0cksz I hope those flashes of "one day" start showing up today, through the little moments where you love yourself, a spark of genius when your self-esteem shines, or a moment of vulnerability when you write a poem or have a chat with a friend... And from today, I hope you reach that "one day" real soon, so it becomes your reality. * Manifesting this for you *✨

What an excellent piece. I thought your presentation of the two stanza on opposite edges of the page was a very nice touch as it highlights the move from the immediate self reflection to ideation and hopeful forward thinking.
I found the statement-reflection style of the paired lines worked so nicely and really gave a sense of considered self analysis whilst not diminishing the emotional aspect.
A great poem. Bravo.
