Once together, Now foes
This is a poem I wrote much earlier in this year. I don't exactly remember why I wrote this piece but I did. So, I hope that you all will enjoy reading this piece too.
Once together, now foes
In her womb was where life flowed, no wonder it kills me when we became foes.
Her presence, I no longer woe— never thought that I'll be the one to make her go.
She was my anchor, I was her light, now we've come so far I can't find her sight.
She used to hold me and my pain, now she's gone and my heart solemn aches.
She held me close when I was young — now my soul bleeds with words I never sung.
Her scolds were like a playful sting, now I'd bleed just to hear her sing.
She was once the rain in my now droughted heart, now the rain's gone and my heart's torn apart.
Her memories are all that is left, now all i can do is watch her fade.
In her womb was once where life flowed, I never wanted us to end up as foes.

Thank you.
I did enjoy reading it.
You have a very good, broad and descriptive way of writing 💚😊
Thank you so much. All the people I've shown my poetry to before have said that it's nice or complicated. Sometimes they like it but don't fully understand it. Maybe it's just because i use freestyle or I think it's called free verse writing? So it really means a lot when someone ACTUALLY reads them, you know. ☺️

A pleasure 💚
