Poem fifteen
Chocolate milk
It tests great
It felt great
To have one
But it does make a mess
Everywhere on my hands and shirt
All chocolate
To have to clean it all
To hide the tissues in a box
With others
Nobody will notice
The stains under all my clothes
But it feels so bad to drink a lot
It was never good for me
But it’s what I deserve
The euphoric feeling
I can’t stop now
I started it I have to continue on
It does flow like a river
So messy
So good
One last time
It doesn’t effect nobody
It only effects me
I deserve it
I deserve a Silver cup of chocolate milk
I feel like this poem is to abstract or to obvious or nonsense okay the inspiration was my struggle with SH and if you wander what is chocolate milk means okay when blood cells die it turns into the color brown and chocolate milk color is brown that what it means and that’s it
@Dime9878 thats such a good idea to use as a metaphor. The message is already there, but the idea that it correlates directly to the color of blood can take a while to click. I love it for that reason.
I should have scrapped the poem it’s not really good and now I am regretting that I posted it
i am really disappointed about this poem it’s just stupid poem I really hate it it’s not good enough
@Dime9878
No, no, I was thinking it was about something deep, like an addiction. Good job! <3
@Dime9878 its genuinely good, i hope you keep it here on the forum, its worth giving space just as much as every other poem you wrote on here.
@Dime9878
She gave it the “seal of approval”. ;) <3
