Steady dissipation

On seas of melting light, the drifter drinks
And drinks and throws it up and drinks again
A world of blindness flashes bright and sinks
And churns amid ten trillion with no end
Numbered all uncountably and dead
They look enough the part on surfacing
Taste good enough if he just holds his nose
He doesn't care that they aren't worth a thing
He gulps them down and heaves, and back he goes
Ignoring that still thirstier he grows

This speaks to me of an adventurer who is so mesmerized with the scenery and all the new experiences, he's trying to take it all in but it's so much, he takes as much on board as he can.
Reminder in life, embrace what lies before you, before it's all gone 💜💕
