Why is this sunshine harder to survive?
Why does it hurt right at the heart…
is it heartless itself?
If it is,
why does it open such heavy heaps of memories then?
Why doesn’t it let us stand where we are—
why does it keep carrying us so far,
to places we once belonged to,
yet now feel lost in?
It can do anything with us—
break and mend,
then mend and break again,
But then…
why can’t it just dissolve us?
