The Night I Decided to Commit
On a cold night,
I was wrapped in the coldness of my pain.
The cold metal blade tracing the
skin on my wrist.
I whimpered at the sting;
red lines starting to dot my wrist
with the brightest crimson.
I dreamt of that one spring day—
sunshiney with flowers,
and him holding my hand as
we're smiling.
I snap back to reality;
the blade, I'm pressing harder
to my wrist now.
Blood— there's so much of it.
Dripping from the slashes
that have revealed the
whites on my wrist now.
I'm losing consciousness;
his eyes that held the universe
in them, his smile that brightens
my world.
Blood still dripping.
Life fading, and
light leaving my eyes.
@wxgzv Incredible poetic skills you have .............. I can hear how much pain you are in through your words, and I want you to know that you don't have to carry this weight alone. It sounds like things feel incredibly dark right now, butthere are people who want to support you and help you find a way through this.
