The silent man

Ensconced besides a roaring river,

sat a man thin

Impervious of the earthly woes,

he had none of kin

His face as calm as water still,

unprovoked he sat among all the shrill

In his eyes loomed an absence,

no desires no penance

All the bloodshed all the violence

here sat the man in absolute silence.

@BlatantHonesty There’s something hauntingly beautiful about this image—the man as a still point in a world unraveling. The silence here feels less like peace and more like surrender or maybe transcendence. Either way it lingers. (Everyone was waiting for Godot, but Godot was by the river watching everything unravel)
