good grief

All is grief and darkness, but with glimmers of hope, like a patch of blue passing in the muddy sky. O England my heart surely belongs here. You are the reflection of my soul. I have lost everything and you have washed it all away. You have made sure of that. I have forgotten how to cry, so England cries for me. At night I lay awake, I feel my heart imploding, disintegrating. Like a rock sitting meekly in a violent and merciless stream. What violent, cruel and perfect beauty belongs here. Its wisdom I can not question. So let it break me and do with me what it wills, for I can no longer resist it. I am already that dust to which I shall return.
