It’s okay
It’s okay to be nothing
even when people expect you to be loving
or pass down the pressure of being something,
It’s okay to be nothing.
You don’t need to be okay
time doesn’t always push your feelings away
even when healing can be true
It’s perfectly fine to feel whats right for you.
It’s okay to have good days
your loss and your pain isn’t every feeling in your brain
when the time comes to smile, enjoy it for awhile.
It’s okay to remember everything that’s said
Isn’t always from the heart, more from the head.
Take those words in then put them in their place.
It’s easy to give them false meaning
or force happiness onto it
and cause your energy to start fleeting.
So try your best to let today,
simply be whatever comes your way.
@twerp your poem's like a friend to me, a very dear one who sits besides and whispers in silence, "it's okay to be you". i know i've been too hard on myself a lot of days in my life and this poem's just a quiet comfort in that dilemma, in that moment. it calls out to me and says, its okay to be a contradiction in the world of contradictions, it's okay to be you, even if that's nothing. im so thankful to you for this beautiful piece. it unknowingly filled a void in me. loads of love<3

Dear Twerp,
I completely agree with Suu...your poem felt like a comforting friend, gently reminding me that it’s okay not to be okay. Thank you so much for that, Twerp. This one truly spoke to my heart and soul, and I really needed those reassuring words right now. I’m so grateful you shared this!
Sincerely,
Azure
