Sudden
How can a day change so swiftly?
An avalanche bereft of snow.
Fist to gut that spurs to shift me.
The call to arms without a foe.
How many times can things go wrong
Before it strains credulity?
A cosmic joke or half daft song….
…One I don’t get presumably.
Visor down, shut up, be ready!
Brace for impact, now hold the line!
Keep the centre. Remain steady.
And show them everything is fine.
