The Journey To Find My Fair Maiden
Yes, wrought the iron
Bend it into shape
Your somber loneliness won't be in vain
Pray Ill be back in town before its too late
Remember that I am nigh in your heart
For I am off to find my true love
And Ill come back, bearing a blood-stained Cape, prideful, and glorified
Like iron smelted in a furnace,
I will glow with resilience
Welcome my return from yonder passages Along the journey to find my fair maiden
You will then see me appear from the darkness Beneath that overhang
Me and my bride, glistening with utmost Gaiety atop my steed,
The townsmen cheering my name
While the sun shines upon us under the hill

@JEOtheAose This poem carries such a striking.... almost medieval grandeur, blending themes of longing, resilience, and triumphant return. The imagery of wrought iron and smelted resilience gives it a powerful blacksmith-like symbolism—pain and transformation forging strength. I love how the structure mirrors a journey, with a solemn farewell building up to a victorious homecoming. The diction feels both poetic and regal, evoking the feel of an old ballad or heroic tale!
