Trying something new...

I am like a robot,

a box of wires,

electricity running through,

powering me just enough

to get through the day.

Is that all there is?

Beneath the wires, could emotions run?

Love, hate, anger;

anything would be appreciated.

Or is it only empty space,

like the deep ocean trenches:

coral, seaweed, and silence,

but no real feeling.

Is that all there is?

The spark is missing.

Nothing ignites.

Do I need flint to start a fire,

or a plug to make the connection?

A cut to a bomb that could ruin me,

or a link to something

that could finally empower me.

If someone knocks me down,

would I even feel pain?

Or would I keep walking,

head up, pretending

nothing happened.

Is that all there is?

Feelings. Emotions.

Where do they come from?

The laughs, the smiles,

the tears, the screams.

Is there more than survival?

To live is to feel?

Is there more to this robot

still waiting to be found.

@colorfulPanda8664 Hey 🌸

I love your poetry, it’s so raw and real. I hear you. Feeling like a robot sometimes doesn’t mean you’re broken; it just means you’re waiting for that spark. The fact that you’re questioning and searching already shows there’s more inside you than survival. ❤️
