Wandering Lone's
Walking along the path where—
Eyes covered by the fogs
Traversing the treck blindly
The oxygen slowly fading
Mind seems to hallucinate
The darkness takes it form
Cold hands that caged our loneliness
The gelid embraced that we never want to end
A familiar cage that we search in the lumine path
But this coldness that nestled us
Seems much comfortable
For the light only burned us
But this blinding darkness seems to comfort us
The thing that others find a reflection of death
Is Trapping us yet we never tried to escape
Perhaps were used to this
Wandering in the dark
Where empty space reside
@Justawriterofbl Beautiful poem! The way you describe the cold and darkness feels almost like a comforting embrace, even though it’s also a trap. I love how you’ve captured that blend of fear and strange comfort. It actually reminded me of something a friend of mine says: "Light brings sorrow, my child, but darkness is bliss." I think it’s from a movie or a poem in his native language. It sounds short and rhyming in the original, but I don’t want to mess it up by trying to write it in English pronunciation.

I think @azurePond has said it so well about how the familiar darkness becomes a trap that one does not seek to escape from, but instead provides a strange solace in embracing it. The imagery feels like it speaks of a depressive or detached state wherein resignation to a state of suffering is easier or just symptomatic of a loss of direction and strength to resist. Maybe even that escape is an option but not desired due to the safe familiarity of this coldness.
It is an intriguing poem.
