What do y'all think about my poem?

You know, I once thought you were as shiny as gold.

But you were really just as matte as mold.

You said so much,

The love you gave made me feel your personal touch.

You made me dream about our life together,

You were my weather.

You were my sun,

You would make me feel like the only one.

You were my rain,

You made all the pain go away.

You were my snow,

Your love would make me overflow.

You were my wind,

With you my life no longer felt pinned.

But you did so much behind my back.

So much so that I didn’t want to react.

The sun I thought you once were had died,

The rain had dried up,

All the snow had melted away,

The wind went astray.

You lied so much just because of one mistake,

It was my fault but I tried to fix it without taking any breaks.

But you never thought it was fixed.

You thought our love had ceased to exist.

At least I hope this was the case,

Because you’re now as quiet as space.

You saw me beg you to stay,

Even though I knew your love had surely gone away.

I begged because I remembered the warmth you gave me, and the promises we made.

I was so afraid.

You gave me such a scar,

Even though we loved each other from afar.

That scar still bleeds,

But I know you are a weed.

I was willing to destroy my future for you,

But sadly there was another “you.”

You weren’t as loyal as I thought you were.

Because you had someone else in the work.

Now that you left I feel and am doing better,

But my heart isn’t doing better.

I long to feel the warmth of love.

Not yours but someone else’s, I want love that will be enough.

I wonder why you did it, but I guess no one is perfect.

I wrote poems about you that described you as gold.

But I was a fool for believing you were gold.

You are fools gold.
