Winter as an emotion
have you ever wondered what winter would feel like. Not physically. But how it would really feel.
It’s the type of cold that bites your lips and stings your eyes
tears freezing as it falls
the cold constricts your throat
the snow flakes falling like your dreams.
Hitting the floor and melting away before you
if your lucky it gathers and builds
gathering on the floor.
But if your unluckily lucky to get that
you then have so many overwhelming versions of you
sat. Gathered.
so much you can’t leave you can’t escape
it all snows you in
yyour only solution is to cry warm tears in hope it melts
but that’s like trying to clean the ocean with one drop of washing up liquid.
its not gonna work. You will always be stuck with an empty
or a full
floor of hopes and dreams withering away
letting the cold pain bite you day by day.
This is so beautifully written, I love your descriptiveness!

What a poem!
Looking at something we all experience but through a different lense.
Winter can be dark,
Cold,
Unrelenting.
It allows us the ability to hide from ourselves.
To not have to be bubbly and positive all the time.
Its a landscape which embraces our saddest thoughts!
