Winter poem

Now Winter Is Here 

Winter enters with an icy kiss

Transforming the warmth of Summer's bliss.

She shakes off her leaves and cools down the sun, of bluebirds and flowers she chooses to shun.

Her beauty so great with the wind whipping down, and starry eyed snowflakes that fall to the ground. 

The woods are all white now, the path is all covered,  the snow crunches crisply on the cloak of our mother.

For just as her sunshine embraces our skin, so too does the Winter our love wish to win.

Don't long for the warmth, the sunshine so dear, for now is the gift and Winter is here.
