- You enjoy spending time alone and do not feel the need to constantly be surrounded by other people.
- You value independence and autonomy in your personal and professional life.
- You have a strong sense of self and are comfortable being alone.
- You prioritize your own interests and hobbies over those of a potential romantic partner.
- You are content with your current relationship status and do not feel pressure to change it.
- You have a hard time committing to a long-term relationship or marriage.
- You prefer to focus on your own personal growth and development rather than on a relationship.

Yes, there is a lot of pressure on people to be married or shacking up. I made up my mind in my 30s that I didn't have to be married to be happy. In fact, I needed to work on myself a lot more because when I would have friendships, I would usually put myself last and be a people pleaser. When I made that decision I felt like a big weight was lifted off me. I had the belief that you should always put other people ahead of yourself, otherwise you are selfish and mean. As a result of that, I had problems with depression and anxiety all my life. I also denied my feelings a lot, fooling a lot of people with saying how great I was and happy go lucky. It was a lifetime of learning about emotional well-being and peace.
