April is Global Volunteer Month!!

Every day, you dedicate your time and energy to helping create and maintain a safe and supportive space for those who need it most. Whether you're a listener nurturing members, a leader guiding a project, a mentor guiding growth, or a peer uplifting fellow peers, everything you do makes a massive difference in the health and happiness of our community. Our success is continually driven by every act of empathy and service.

Your commitment is the heart and soul of 7 Cups. This month, we want to celebrate your contributions and the positive impact you make. To start this special month, we want to hear from you. Answer any one of these to get the ball rolling!

💙 What made you volunteer?
💙 What keeps you volunteering?
💙 What's one moment here, big or small, that's reminded you why you volunteer at 7 Cups?

We look forward to sharing more moments of appreciation with you this month! Thanks for all you do!

@Heather225 @Heather225 I volunteered because I naturally enjoy helping people. I keep on volunteering because of the awesome people I get to help, and 1 moment that reminded me I volunteer here is when I helped something feeling like nothing to something.

@Heather225 I volunteer because I want people to know they are not alone, that there are solutions to all problems, there's always a wsy forward, you just have to see it. I volunteer because I know what it's like to need someone to listen, to cry out into the silence and suffer alone. I continue to volunteer because that one chat where in your heart you know you have helped and made a difference and eased someone's burden, it's worth it, it just hits different. Sadly many chats you have, members can be rude, abusive, they can lie, they use you to amuse themselves and pass some time, but when you continue through this despite the challenges and you get that message to say you brightened someone's day, you dig deep and you continue on, finding the energy to accept the next chat 🥰

@Heather225

If I can alleviate the pain of even one person, then the volunteering is worth it.

I volunteer because I love helping/talking to people! In my real life, I am shy and do not like talking but I feel like talking to people on here helps my outside of Cups!! 7 Cups is also weirdly fun!

@Heather225  I volunteer in my community when I need a reminder that the vast majority of people are kind and that we aren't as separate as some would like us to believe.  Being of service allows me to counter negative self talk with actions that prove otherwise.

💙 What made you volunteer?

I really like helping others! And making sure that they know they are not alone!

💙 What keeps you volunteering?

Knowing that I've made a difference in at least a couple people lives.
💙 What's one moment here, big or small, that's reminded you why you volunteer at 7 Cups?

After a chat I've had a couple people thank you, you have no idea how much you have helped me.

Together we do great things. Most things we do individually happen because of group efforts. There are so many organizations and programs that rely on volunteers to succeed. Some of these organizations are hundreds of years old; its a testament to what helping each-other can accomplish. We elevate ourselves and others when we contribute to a healthier, happier community. I can imagine that 7Cups will exist for a long, long time. What we accomplish here today helps tomorrow. Those who contributed yesterday allow us all to be here now.
