It is always really nice to see you around here!
I love her voice! I mean, I could already tell from the titles that these will be really powerful songs and now, after listening for the first two, I can say that they truly are. Thank you very much for the suggestion! :)
Stay awesome!
@redmark hugs and yw
How are you feeling today? :)
I'm feeling great and relaxed. My exams are over and hung out with my friends a bit to chill.
Do you have any plans for the weekend? Maybe just relaxing and recharing a little bit? :)
We'll go to the beach tomorrow! Though I hope that I won't be worrying about my schoolworks while spending the day in the beach. Hopefully, I can be productive by Sunday and be able to finish my schoolworks by then.
You know that I love music and I am always curious of getting to know new and awesome songs, so:
What are your favourite songs right now or in general? :)
I have tons! A few of them were recommended by my classmate. My music taste is also over the place so I apologize for that. Though I've shared some of them here on 7cups too for forum threads music playlist haha
Piece of your Heart by Mayday Parade (If you have time, I suggest listening to their Sunnyland Album)
Figure Me Out by The Summer Set
Younger Dreams by Our Last Night
Hole in my Heart by Sleeping With Sirens
How to save a life by The Fray
Poke my PMs if you need more XD
Hey there @Erato *hugs* (if you are okay with it)
It is so awesome to hear from you around here again!
I am really glad to hear that you are feeling relaxed, I can imagine that having your exams done has to be a huge relief and I am glad to hear that you have been able to spend some time with your friends :)
Hey, you do deserve a break, just a day for yourself and that day in the beach definitely sounds like an amazing way to spend it. I mean, you can always just be working on school stuff and studying, you need to refresh yourself sometimes and then I am sure you will be able to jump back into it with full force and you will get it done quickly! ^-^
My music taste it all over the place as well if I am honest. :P - I have to admit I am kind of jelaous of you tho, I always wanted to have someone I could share songs with and get recommendation but, well, it is a work in progress anyways :P
I have already known about Our Last Night from their cover album, which was pretty awesome, and also, Sunrise is a pretty powerful song. Also about All Time Low, although I think it was you or someone from here who have suggested that to me before and thank you for that! :)
But the others, I will definitely look up. I mean, I am listening to Mayday Parade right now and they sound really amazing and I am sure the others will as well. :)
Thank you very much for your suggestions ^-^
Stay awesome!
*huggles back*
Yes, it's a huge relief that I'm through with them haha and I'm also happy that I've got some time to hang out with my friends. c: And thank you! I guess having that break is also a reward for myself for getting through the week! Thank you for your motivation! <3 And hey, don't be jealous haha I can be that someone! c: We can exchange music in PMs whenever you feel like doing it! I'd love to discover new songs. I'm shocked that you know Our Last Night because I didn't haha and it's just my friend who introduced them to me recently! I'll listen to Sunrise, then! XD Yes, it's probably me! You may check out this thread I made for more songs you can listen to or just the entire subforum in general hehe :P Omg, I'm glad you find them amazing. They've always been my favorite!
@redmark
@Erato are you sure about it?
I mean, about your offer, it would mean much to me to be able to share songs with someone. Music is kind of an essential part of my life and often the most lonely I find myself feeling is when I realize that I do not have anyone to share a good song or artist I have found - as stupid as it may sound.
I do not want to be to pushy with it tho >.<
Of course! I've done it with some 7cups peoples haha it's not that even that bad! :P I don't mind at all! And I'm sorry to hear that you feel lonely when you don't have someone whom you can share songs with. That doesn't sound stupid, tho! I also feel the same way sometimes because I'm not that confident about my music taste haha
@redmark
@redmark Hey, how are you?
Feeling today... eh, tired, disappointed with myself. my demon's came to play. I knew it was coming, I tried to stop it. Failed. Why is it the harder you fight it, the worse it is when it finally happens?
There's a big snow storm coming so, that's my weekend. I need to get somethings ready for that. Get wood in, get the loader ready. Really sick of snow! I'm hoping the satellite doesn't go out but it probably will. I need to catch up on some work, I started to rebuild the chest I destroyed and I'm hoping to catch some sleep.
My music taste is all over the place. A few are - Jive Bunny and the mastermixers - Swing the mood, Imagine Dragon's- Rise Up, Muse-Something Human, Godsmack- I stand alone, Limp Bizkit- Rollin.
Have a good weekend. Take care!
Hey there @mytwistedsoul *hugs* (if you are okay with it)
It is really awesome to hear from you!
I am, well, tired, this was a long week for me but it is weekend finally, so, yay! Thank you for asking :)
I am sorry to hear that you are feeling tired and that you had to go through all that today. To try to answer your question, I think it is a sort of tirck of perception. I mean, once you have been fighting and your demons have still won you can feel powerless and whatever hope you may have put into that fight taken from you but, on my opinion, it is really just a trick. I mean, if you think about it, it needs a lot of strength to stand up and try to fight those demons. Of course, you may not win, but the first step is usually not winning but gradually getting better and better at it, learn what works for you and recognize when you need those distractions and/or alternatives and you are right on that path. Even if you may be at the beginning of it every single step on that road leads to your goal and every single step towards the goal is a little victory on it's own. Or, well, that is my opinion anyways :)
Aww, that snow storm does definitely sound frustrating and I can imagine how annoying it can be to have so much snow. I think it is really awesome of you that you are prepared like that and I hope everything will go well :)
Also, I am glad to hear that you are working on that chest again, I know it will turn out amazing, do not let anyone tell you otherwise :)
I hope you will be able to catch up on some sleep as well ^-^
Now, I had to go and listen to a band called "Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers" :D - I mean, they just have an eye-catching name and I do not regret it at all :)
Also, Muse has some really amazing songs, sadly I usually do not know songs by titles because I just let them play on random on youtube/spotify usually but just in general Muse is pretty awesome for sure and so is Godsmack. :)
Imagine Dragons is a band I keep coming back to as well every once in a while, although maybe less then the two before but I like the energy their songs have. :)
...aaand, I know I may be the only one on this planet but I do not really know anything about Limp Bizkit, so, it is on my list of songs now to check out, thank you for your suggestion :)
Stay awesome!
@redmark I glad to hear you're doing well!
Guess that kind of explains the drained, just going through the motions feeling.
They do have an interesting name. T-Rex - I love to boogie is another good one.
I should have warned you though, Limp Bizkit is well.. really sort of hard. It's some of the stuff I listen to when I can't shut my head up. So yeah, I should have warned you sooner.
Thank you for talking with me. Have a good weekend!
@mytwistedsoul I know it can be hard to get through it and to try to take steps on that path but I want you to know that you are not alone in this and we are all here for you. I do believe in you and I am already proud of you for trying so hard and really making these steps already
T-Rex sounds really intersting as well. I mean, the name and the songs as well, like the good kind of interesting. :P
There is something to these swing songs that just have a really good vibe and energy to it ^-^
I do not mind "hard" songs. I mean, I do actually like songs that can have some sort of an impact on me, no matter if negative or positive. I have some songs that can really hit me hard and still keep getting back to them at times exactly because I think that is the purpose of music as art to have an impact like that. For me anyways :)
You know, I like to talk with you, you do not need to thank me for it. Of course, I am not saying this to make you uncomfortable for doing so, it is totally okay with me, I just want you to remind you that you are not a burden or anything like that but actually good company to have :)
Oh, also, I - again - forgot about the hug thing, I know, I will try to keep it in mind, sorry about that!
Stay awesome!
@redmark Hey, How are you?
It's a nice thought that someone has my back. I'm not used to that. It's always just been me. It's also a little scary because I usually don't live up to peoples expectations.
Music for me is an escape, but also my voice. It says things that I can't or won't. Sounds kind of weird I guess. They say it soothes the savage beast so, I don't know I think there's some truth to that. But it can also fuel a fire so I do try to be aware of what I'm listening to depending on my mood. Some days there's a fine line, you know?
I apologize for saying thank you all the time AND for apologizing all the time. They can be bad habits. I had to be grateful for everything and there was always something to be sorry for. I need to work on that too.
It's ok about the hug. Not everything has to hurt, yeah? And I can always tuck it away for another time.
It was nice talking with you, have a good weekend. Take care!
@mytwistedsoul Hey, I do not think it is stupid at all :)
I mean, all that you have listed. I need to get used to not being on my own as well and actually sharing my emotions and I just try to stay in the moment and not think about how I am, or will be, a let down to everyone but that's why we are here, isn't it? I mean, I think you are doing a good job already. :)
Music is certainly a way to express yourself. I mean, I have seen many people sharing and listening to happy music to lighten their mood and I can understand it but I usually end up listening to music which just resonates me - which is usually pretty melancholic - instead of trying to use it that way, to cheer me up.
I hate that when my brain just gets stuck in that state when I say sorry but then I realize I should have not so I want to say sorry for saying sorry and it is just an endless cycle really. I mean, the point I guess, is that you are free to say sorry or thank you, it is no problem, just take your time but remember that you are worth the attention by default and it is okay to make mistakes :)
I try to respect boundaries and personal space it is just my memory tricking me sometimes, like about the hugging thing, but, as I have said, I will try to keep it in mind and, still, you are always welcome to ask for a hug anytime if and when you may feel like you need one :)
I hope you are having a good weekend as well!
Hellooooo! So excited for the weekend lmao. My favourite songs right now are all by the artist Eve on youtube, they are in Japanese though so I'm not entirely certain on the names lol.
Hey there @LiamLight *hugs* (if you are okay with it)
We are really glad to have you here with us!
Ohh....that sounds exciting, or, well, your excitment over your weekend is contagious anyways and I do really hope it will turn out really awesome for you! ^-^
Also, I get you on those songs, I know I have a similar experience with Aimer songs, although they have English titles but the lyrics are Japanese so I am not exactly sure what they are about but they sound pretty awesome :P
Either way, I have to admig Eve surprised me, it was not exactly what I have expected but it was a positive surprise. I mean, I love the vibe the songs have and the visuals in the clips, they are just soo unique and amazing. Thank you for suggesting it :)
Stay awesome!
@redmark
ahh I love Aimer! Haha, i hope you have a wonderful day!
Heya @redmark ! How are you?
I'm doing great!! I finally got to the gym this week, super happy to be there. I ran for a full hour and I feel fantastic!! I'll be back in shape for soccer in no time!!
I'm also on day 2 without coffee haha, I'm reducing my caffeine intake from 4 medium double-doubles (2 cream, 2 sugar) a day to 1 or 2 mugs of regular tea :) I know tea still has a bit of caffeine but way less, and it's a start!! I am having mild withdrawl symptoms though, I am very tired and easily irritated, but it'll only take another day or so to get over it (I hope...).
I have work this weekend, BUT I'm only scheduled for a single shift and it's only a 6 hour instead of the usual 12, so I'm pretty thankful for that.
As for music, I'm into a lot of heavy metal and classical music. Big contrast, I know. I'm not sure if you're into either, but if you are, I would recommend "Poltava" by Sabaton (metal), "Roar of the Underdog" by Dynazty (metal), and "Polonaise in A flat, OP 53" by Chopin (classical piano). I also listen to some Dodie Clark on occasion, I really like her song "Would You Be So Kind" (pop). If you check these artists out, I hope you like what you hear :)
Anyways, I have to pick my sister up from a drama rehearsal soon. Take care!! :D
Hey there @CentreMid *hugs* (if you are okay with it)
It is really awesome to have you around here with us!
I have actually just woken up not so long ago so now I feel good, after having that tiring week at work, thank you for asking! :)
yay! I am really happy to hear that you are doing great and that you have enjoyed getting to the gym as well. I mean, with all those exercise I am sure you will be able get back to shape really soon! ^-^
Ow, I know it can be hard to not get your coffee and caffeine in it but I am really proud of you for doing so well and being already on day two without coffee :)
I do hope that all those withdrawal symptoms will go away for soon as well and, I mean, I do drink some tea every day as well so I think it is totally okay to have a good tea or two everyday. :)
It sounds nice that you will actually have to work only 6 hours this weekend - well, considering the usual, that is - and I hope you will be able to get some good rest through this weekend as well after you are done with that ^-^
I do like the mix of classical and heavy music as well. I mean, I do not necessarily feel like that big of a contrast, if you ask me anyways some classical music can be really heavy on it's own right as well, not with drums and guitars of course, but with other intruments. One of my favourite things I guess when metal bands either incorporate classical elements into their songs or just go ahead and record with an orchestra for a special album - those are probably my favourites. :)
Either way, I like the metal and classical song you have listed - there is just somethin really amazing power to piano isn't it?
Also, that Dodie Clark song is really nice, I love the "simplicity" of it. :) - although, simplicity may not be the best word, but you know what I mean :P
Oh, I remember mentioning your sisters rehearsal, I hope it has went well for her! ^-^
Stay awesome!
hey guys its been rough
Hey there @KingOfGold27 *hugs* (if you are okay with it)
Welcome here! We are really glad to have you here with us!
I am sorry to hear that you have been through some rough times but I want you to know that you are not alone in this and we are always here for you. :)
If there is anything you would like to share I would be glad to listen but, of course, there is no pressure on you, reaching out here was already a big step and I am really proud of you for that and just having you with us is really nice as well ^-^
I want you to know that I do believe in you, you can get through this and we are here to help. :)
Stay strong and awesome!
Ok so: I finally told someone about my self harm. I told a friend of mine, who I haven't talked to in a while but she knows about my eating disorder and I know about ehr depression. We both have experience with self-harm. So we decided: Every time we felt like cutting we would call each other up. No matter what time of the night or day. And I think this might really help.
Hope you are all doing great!
Hey there @ayesha3 *hugs* (if you are okay with it)
It is really nice to hear from you around here!
Oh, wow, opening up about self harm is such an amazing and big step and I am so proud of you, I know it had to be scary but you have done it and I am so glad to hear that it has turned out well for you. It definitely sounds really nice to have someone you can call - and so can she - if you ever need help with the urges. I do hope it will help you a lot and also I want you to know that we are here for you as well if we can help you anytime and I know you can do it and you can get through this, I believe in you. :)
Stay awesome!
@redmark Thank youuuu. Hugs back Xx
@redmark promise by JIMIN from BTS is now one of my top ten songs
Hey there @nekothekitten7 *hugs* (if you are okay with it)
I am really glad to see you around here!
I remember checking BTS out some times ago and I have liked them, I do not remember if I have listened to that song specificly but I will sure do now. :)
Thank you for your suggestion. ^-^
Stay awesome!
