Self-Harm recovery daily check-in: Saturday June 27th 2020.
Hi everyone and happy Saturday!
June is already halfway over! I can't believe this month has flown by like all the other ones during quarantine. I hope everyone is doing well and is having a relaxing weekend. Life has been pretty hard lately but I'm slowly and gently trying to walk myself out of a rut.
Months during recovery can pass by very quickly and often we forget to reflect on what we've been through so today I'd like to provide a safe and welcoming place to do so <3

Hey Samuel ! How nice to hear that the current situation regarding the pandemic is going down where you live! Has everything reopened and gone back to normal again?
I still hope June went well, despite not accomplishing anything special! Small things can be accomplishments too though!
Yay for Feb! Does that make you an Aquarius or Pisces?
Thanks for checking in, take care!

I am doing good today. I have been feeling good for the past couple of days. I turned my week around as I was having low days in the beginning of the week.
2) How was June for you? What were some accomplishments and challenges?
June was hard for me. I relapsed and felt very low. However, I did have happy moments. In June I enjoyed playing tennis with my friends and babysitting.
3) What is your favorite month of the year and why?
I really love October because I love Halloween. I love horror movies and the season of fall.
@Ecargrace
Heya ! Its good to hear youre doing good today and for the past couple of days! And also really amazing that you were able to turn things around after having low days, did something specific help you do that?
Im sorry to hear that June was hard for you, I can definitely understand how relapsing would make things challenging… Im really proud of you though for keeping in mind the positive parts of June. I hope July will go better/more smoothly! Do you feel there are some things you could do in July to make things better?
October, Halloween and the whole Autumn season is definitely cool! Thanks for sharing, take care!

Today I am ok. Tired, and a little sick, but coping. I got a lot done this week, although it is never as much as I hope to acheive...
2) How was June for you? What were some accomplishments and challenges?
I don't even remember the beginning of the month. I feel like by the end I was beginning to get on track, but just have to reach a balance and hold it. I know some of the things I need to do to not relapse. I id some EMDR in therapy which was helpful and when we went back to CBT I was able to ask to do more EMDR iin future. I discovered 7 cups. I still have inclinations to SH all the time, but hoping to realise that the inclination can't hurt me as long as I guard self-care in other areas.
3) What is your favorite month of the year and why?
I like July - its my birthday month and e Summer vacation and I get free time to ride my bike and to work on my own projects which I am too busy for in the school year.
@1morday
Hey there ! Its nice to hear that youre doing ok, despite feeling tired and a little sick, I hope you were able to get some good rest and recover over the weekend! Its great that you were able to be productive and get a lot done this week, I get how it often isnt as much as wed like though, but hey, at least its done, better than nothing! Plus sometimes we set our expectations too high regarding productivity…
It sounds like June was an important step on your recovery path, its really good to hear that youve identified things to do so as not to relapse. Reaching a balance and keeping good self-care sound like two important ones, are there some ways youve found to focus on them?
Yay for July, almost there! It sounds like youll have a great month! Thanks for sharing and checking in, take care!
