1000 Friends Art Event - Express Yourself!
Heyo every-amazing-one! ^-^
Can you believe our little family, this sub-community, is already at 1000 subcommunity friends? Thats right! I mean, me neither, but it is time to celebrate! :)
You may wonder what this whole Express Yourself! event thing is. Well, it is *drumroll* an Art Event! :)
Thats right! Art is just such an amazing way to help us deal with so many different and otherwise hard things and we have so many amazing friends here now so we have been thinking of combining the two and let you show us some of your amazing art! :)
How are you feeling? What does this place mean to you? What does "recovery" mean to you? What do you think about the 1000 friends, on a similar journey to you? All that, and anything else is on your mind you would like to draw or write out, we would be happy to see here! :)
For this occasion, we will be collecting written and visual art.
Visual art can be any drawing or moving image such as gifs you would like to share with us. You can submit these using any anonymous image-sharing sites such as > imgur.com <
For written art now we are open for poems and short stories - stories under 2000 words.
For this you can use > this form < to submit your art to us with or without your username!
If you do have something else you would like to submit, please contact either me or @JaydenIsHere. We are always open to new ideas! :)
Of course, all of our general rules apply here as well. Please do not use any inappropriate language or share triggering details or if you do, please state it at the appropriate sections of the form. I mean, this is why we do have this form in place, as otherwise, we would have no way to moderate your submissions, but this way we can make sure that this thread will stay as clean as possible with the right trigger warnings in place at all times as we do not want anyone to get triggered.
As for the deadline: there is no such a thing. We will go through the submissions every once in a while and I will post them in this thread!

I am so happy to present you an other submission here. It is a short story and it is just such an amazing twist on an already existing short story and I do really love it and I do hope you will love it too :)

"My heart beats so fast
I tried to tell you about the demons but you didn't believe me. I cried out so many times and one day you just stopped listening.
If only you could see, the demons that surround me then you would understand my pain.
I cry out 'demon' one last time but you refuse to hear. I realize that you didn't understand that not all pain is visible but just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist."
I do really like how you have adopted the story of the boy who has cried wolf to represent your struggles. I do think it has a really powerful message to it :)
Also, I do want you to know that you are never alone with those demons here, we are in this together and we are always here for you as well Kay

This is an amazing twist!! People didn't listen to the boy because he had lied but here the people are at fault cause the 'wolf' is invisible. Truly heartwarming.

Will someone let us know if/when our art has been posted or should we just try and look out for it?
@RepoPeach I make sure to tag everyone when I am posting their subbmissions unless they have requested to stay anonymous :)

@RepoPeach Well in that case I do respect it and of course do not post names with it but I can get someone to PM you maybe - as I cannot do that, being a member if you want I guess :)
I just love how active this thread is and how much I can get to know you all better through your art

I have always liked portraits so much as a human face can just really say so much without any word attached ot it and I have to admit this face is indeed pretty :)

Its about those 'friends' and 'wellwishers' who never really cared. I had a friend like this, whom I liked very much but she herself ignored me and hurt me all the time. So its about getting over them, but being nice still. Being the better person, the bigger heart. - note from the author who would have liked to stay anonymous :) - other than that nickname, that is
I mean, I do really like that nickname honestly and I do absolutely love this poem. If you are around here and reading this thank you for submitting it and you are really talented.

If I put soething in My Feed 9 times out of 10, it's a meme that I created.
I never signed them out let anyone know that I drew it. I love making memes I have 100's of them.
But my memes aren't always positive affirmations posters. They might be a ''I feel rotten today" poster.
