Today the theme is perception. I love how the world is perceived in so many different ways because we all have different point of views. Just goes to show that you don't see the same world as everyone else and I find it fascinating to talk with others and understand their world.

1. Is there anything that you'd like to share with us this week?
I'll go with a random thought I'm reading a webtoon story, and it ends with a cliffhanger. Now, I'll have to wait another week for the new chapter to come out. x) This is one of the reasons why I would rather read stories with endings. >:)
2. What are your thoughts on perception?
I think I'll connect perception with this piece of art entitled Doors of perception, by AcrylicDreams I found at DeviantArt:
For me, our perception is heavily affected by the way we are raised since birth. Since we were babies, there's a "door" that leads us to a world that will help us shape us to who we are right now. However, our destiny is uncertain because there's a lot of possibilities to who we can become, There are those whose doors didn't open because they died early, and those whose doors either lead to to a rich or poor household, a loving or abusive parents, and a lot more outcomes. It seems that our first door heavily depends on luck.
Eventually, there are more doors that we can open that depends on our decisions we make which is often based on our perception. Our point of view! :)

Random thoughts are the best thoughts :) Oh what webtoon are you reading ? I never really got into reading them, I don't really know why, maybe I just didn't find any good ones x) As for the cliffhanger, that's a very good way to keep people reading it ;) Though I do understand that you want to know the ending !
I love that art ! The illustrations are good but what I like the most is the colours !
Hum it sounds like our life is already pretty much decided before we're born then ! Well more like the starting point is decided and then, depending on which doors you choose, you can change your path and grow as you like ! I like the idea of different doors opening up, a bit like a snowball effect where one doors can lead to many others .. It reminds me of that saying 'when one doors closes, another opens' !

I'm reading a webtoon entitled Cursed Princess Club
The theme of the story is about loving oneself. I was impressed when the siblings of the main character (the girl at the center) genuinely loves her without a care in her appearance. This webtoon isn't a cliche for me. :) Also, there's a lot of lovable characters. x)
Yeah! Snowball effect, good one! I also got some ideas in my answer from playing a visual novel before. Video games are a bit beneficial after all. x)

Oh that's a nice theme for a story ! Don't get me wrong, I love dramatic stuff but I think that there's not enough of positive stuff around ... Suppose there's some lessons in there to help us too ! ;)
Playing a visual novel ? Never heard of that before ! You know for all the negative stuff that people say about video games, there's also some good in there ! :)

Its like the difference in between a adventure or a ordeal. or the same word is used for opportunity and for crisis in I forget what language. But at the same time it can be the difference in between living a normal life or living in squalor and torment distached from reality.

Very true words there ! Our perception can change the way we feel about things .. You choose words with a lot of contrast, is that something you find in the defintion of perception ? In the way that it can taint the vision of the world ? The feeling that it's either all good or all bad ?

@Slizzy564 I think it duse apply here in the context of discussing perception. I think for most people they get a combination of good and bad. Yin and yang. But for me I think it is predominantly bad with the less bad and the occasional sprinkle of good.

Hum all depends if you think that good and bad can mix together you know ? I totally get your point of view and can understand that you feel like there's more bad than good, but I wonder, maybe those sprinkles of good could blend into the bad to make it better ? You know like mixing paint ? Sure it'd still be a dark colour but maybe the shade will be a little lighter ? And maybe you'll be painting with dark colours for a while before things start to lighten up !
