@kenware5460

Hug tight* (if accepted)

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this,buddy. (I'm a sh warrior too) am super proud of you for reaching out for help.

First of all; the urges can not be taken away forever. Thye will keeps popping up when you get triggered, but we can find some alternatives to do instead of sh.

What do you like to do? (that brings you fun)

Sending strength and healing beams

P.S When I feel like I'm going to relapse, I do the five minutes.

Like I'm gonna wait five minutes before I do it. If I can make that five minutes, I'm gonna try to wait another.

@kenware5460

Its not supposed to make it go away. The urges can not be truly and fully extinct. Five minutes rules is just something we use to fight back the addiction.

@kenware5460

I'm sorry to hear that fr.

Here are some common alternatives (hope u may found them helpful)

If you ' re feeling stressed try :

   ▪    Doing something relaxing , like a hot bath

   ▪    Use a red pen to mark where you would usually hurtyourself

   ▪    Rub ice on your skin where your would usually hurtyourself

   ▪    Run your face , arm or leg under ice water

 If you are feeling numb , try :

  •  Put elastic bands on wrists , arms or legs and flick them

   ▪    Journaling your emotions

  •   Writing negative emotions on a piece of paper and ripping it up

  •   Talking to a friend (or listener on 7 Cups)

 If you desire to express your emotions , try :

  •   Creating artwork ( you could integrate helpful alternative thoughts as a part of the artwork )

   ▪   Hitting a punchingbag

  •   Going for a vigrous walk or run

  •   Practice deep breathing

I personally found it helpful to mix up grean peas with Red bean and sorts them out one by one, xD
