Let's add some positivity.
Self-harm isn't a positive thing, and we are all here because we know that and want help.
I know a long of people, including myself, are really struggling with positivity right now, so let's help eachother.
I'll go first: I am proudly 94 days clean. This is the longest I have ever been since I started 4 years ago. That's a huge thing for me.
Your turn: what's something positive in your life, something you did good? Something to be proud of? Just anything. It could be your 2 year long streak, or even that you got out of bed today and just sat in the shower. It doesn't matter how big or small, even just a little doodle you think is kinda good is a big thing.
We are all here to support and help eachother, so let's do that.
Hey.. I came across this thread in the self harm support category and this post rlly got me thinking. I am 13 years old, young, i know, but i have been struggling with self harm since I was 9. I havent cut myself in months, the last time was like, August or September and i still have the scars. Im proud of myself for not cutting but at the same time I feel nothing. Absolutely no emotion. Its like self harm has become a normal thing too me and I might be crazy, idk. I dont get triggered anymore, and when other people I know are self harming it doesnt affect me. Ive always been the therapist friend and of course I support them and be there for them but its just like a numb feeling and I hate it. I wish that the thought of it made me hate myself. I wish that self harm was a horrible, disgusting thought that erked my nerves but its not. I just wanna say, thank you for this post and Im proud of you for being 94 days clean. Thats a big accomplishment after everything youve been through ( i kinda stalked ur page a little.) but uhm, thanks, a lot. stay strong!<3
