Sometimes it’s hard to just resist, I’m trying to figure out how to not slip up

I will go on and off of doing sh, and I get that people will say to delay it but sometimes my emotions are just to strong and it’s hard to resist, any suggestions on what to do to really stop the urges and stop slipping up.
