self harm issues

Im 17 right now and i will be writing my finals this month. this month is extremely crucial for me and basically decides my entire future. For the past few years I've been struggling with Depression and Self harm. I am 3 months sober (thankfully) I hid my blade and purposefully forgot about it, but again for the past 3 months every night before i go to bed im having horrible memories and thoughts of every attempt i did and this has been going on EVERY SINGLE DAY. It's making me want to find the blade again and relapse- (but obv idk where i kept it). I do not like these memories as this is affecting my sleep and im more depressed to study and im genuinely struggling.

I'm proud of you, for being safe for three months.

It's difficult , do many triggers.

But all you can do is your best.

And break things down into small and manageable tasks, to get your study done, seeing progress will lift your confidence and make you feel less stressed 💚

Sending you my best wishes 💚

I’m 17 too and I feel the same way. I have a lot of exams coming up and my parents have the crazy expectations they usually have. Not only that, so much of my social life is falling apart. I’ve been wanting to relapse too but just know that you are strong. It will be very stressful but the stress shall be temporary. You’re strong for doing all this and got this!

You're so brave, I'm so proud of you for staying clean for three months. If you ever need to talk, I'll be here. Keep it up.ð©·

Heyy

First of i wanna tell you how strong you are. Even the fact that u stayed clean for so long shows it!!! And this also shows you can keep going without relapsing again.

Exams, expectations, stress, social issues...Im 16 and i went trough this difficult time twice already, so i totaly understand you.

What helped me not to sh or stay clean for a bit was finding activites to do. Doenst have to be a big thing. Just start a new book, or.. a sketch or a even a new serie, anything you like. Anything you want. But dont do nothing and let these thought get to you. And if they come back at night try to use direct coping stuff like the og rubber band or the markers to draw on your skin.

Hope any of this helps. Youre stronger than you think u are! U got this <3 good luck with ur exams

I belive in u
