My most noticeable scars are in spots that are covered up by shorts and T-shirts (swim shorts and swimsuit with sleeves). I also have a few on my forearms, but thankfully there is only a couple and are in random spots, so they kind of don't look like sh. I just have those ones showing. A whole lot of lighter ones are on my legs, which I only wear pants, but at places I'm more comfortable at, I'll leave them uncovered with shorts.

I know scars can be quite hard to hide sometimes, but currently I'm using silicone patches to flatten the scars (see if that works for you) I'm using Scaraway right now, not to the 10 day mark yet, no changes yet. I've heard the brand mama frida (used for c-section scars) works amazing, and I want to try that if this doesn't work.

Also, if you are insecure about your scars and are having trouble hiding them, try using makeup. I think I got concealer for me, but I don't know what the difference is between concealer and foundation is.

This is just what I do, but boy do I wish I had the confidence to feel free and not hide. Do what you are comfortable with, but these scars aren't a symbol of how "weak" we are, it is of how strong we were through those times. I hope you find your solution, and that I was of help.

Recap:

-Show off that you are fighting and winning

-clothes

-makeup

-silicone sheets (flatten scars, change color)

I have scars on my upper thigh and forearm. I try to always wear long sleeves or sweaters, never bathing suits, and shorts and skirts are usually fine. I also put concealer on my arm just to change the color but it kind of makes the scars whiter, which I guess is better than pink or red. If the cuts are fresh, just wear long sleeves. If they’re healed and just scars, then makeup is a good option to feel confident in short sleeved shirts or dresses. 😊
