@rebecca947

Actually my self-care has been going well thank you very much cheeky Because I'm a mentor I know how important sef-care is!! Thank you for the reminder but I've got some small things which are making a difference to my day!! I'm practicing mindfulness, keeping a grattitude journal and walking my dog more - lots of care and pampering going on for this Bear. laugh Oh and I can balance my roles perfectly fine thank you - I keep track of my work and the work I need to put in - I want to start organising it even more by scheduling certain things at certain points in the week rather than doing a bit here and there and just making it work lol.

@rebecca947 Oh, I relate to that! It's so hard to find a balance in everything we do. I hope that you're able to balance 7cups and personal life <3 (but hey, personal life should always come first as well as studies, of course :P)

I got rid of my stuff today. Which was ... very hard. I hadnt gotten rid of things since 2011. My goal is to not re-buy anything until at least the middle or end of January. Hopefully I can get through January (or more) without buying them back.

@RabbitTangerine

Yay nice job!! I'm sure you can do it laugh In my house we have a "if you dont use it you loose it" policy meaning If it's not needed it gets given to charity, sold or binned! It's nice to de-clutter sometimes, I like having a clean room it makes me feel happy, what about you - do you enjoy a clean room too?

@RabbitTangerine Omg, I understand that letting go of some stuff can be pretty difficult. But I'm glad that you're able to at least let go of the things you don't need anymore. I hope that you're able to resist buying stuff that is not really necessary. One thing I've read when you're buying stuff, give it 2-3 days (or more) and if you still feel the need to buy it then that's only the time you buy it.

I'm going to try more healthy coping mechanisms and go longer lengths of time between... let's say... emotional episodes. I've gone a few days at a time between episodes, but I want to try a full week, maybe even 2 weeks if possible. My long term goal is full recovery, but I have to take it one step at a time, and I think this is a good first step.

@CentreMid

first steps are important ❤️ And the key to success of a goal is to have a plan, and know the steps to achieve it, and then breaking the big goal into smaller actionable steps! So go you, I

@CentreMid Mid, this is so great to hear! I know that recovery isn't a linear process and you have to discover coping mechanisms that are effective for you and you can benefit from. I'm glad that you're not pressuring yourself and moving at your own pace. It's not bad to try out anything that you think works well for you. Good luck with it, though! We believe in you!

@porter2927 Porter, this is such a nice goal! Even though grades don't define our intelligence or worth, it's not that bad to aim for better grades and work for it! I hope that you can find study habits that can help you to achieve this goal! Don't put a lot of pressure on yourself.

@bear228 Hi bear! What a great question! I am focusing on goals that maintain and enhance self-care activities. I would encourage myself to meditate and do journalling even more, and try on a healthy lifestyle bit by bit just to make a difference. And I also am planning on my digital artwork skills since I am planning on making digital art as a business :D

My goal for the new year should be building my self esteem and finding the confidence not to feel ashamed of my mistakes.

More practically, I really should find a new job!
