I'm getting better :)
I dont really have anyone to share this with so I thought I'd post here. Its been two weeks since I cut! (I have self harmed in other ways but they're super minor and while it may be small I still want to celebrate this victory). I did some mindfulness mediation and it was such a huge help. I was super hesitant about mediation at first but it has always left me feeling super good. I dont know I'm just super happy right now!!! I wasn't feeling great this morning and I thought about cutting but I didnt do it! I took a shower, made some tea, and got into my comfiest clothes, and did some meditation. I haven't been the most productive this morning but I got some stuff done and I feel really good about it. A year ago I didnt think life could get better. I thought I was stuck. But I've made progress and slowly but surely I am getting better :).
@fairmindedRaspberries1389 Hey How are you?
This is great! I'm proud of you! Two weeks without cutting is really big in my book. Well done!
Idk - a shower - tea - comfy clothes and meditation sounds like a pretty productive day to me!
I'm really glad you shared this success with us here! Thank you!
Stay strong - be gentle with yourself and never forget - you are awesome!
Hello @fairmindedRaspberries1389
I'm very glad to hear about your victory and really impressed by your determination, strength and courage. This is so true that like a wheel keeps on rolling, good and bad times keep on appearing one after the other. Sometimes life feels like it won't get better, but something good is always hidden on the other side. Hey, I wouldn't really give any advice, but I'm just going to ask if that's possible to perhaps try other things as alternatives for cutting like hitting with a rubber band, etc. as they're much less harmful and painful? I hope your life gets filled with lot of positivity <3

I totally agree, every victory deserves to be celebrated. You are showing a real commitment to your recovery. As you say, you are slowly getting better, and the *slowly* part is very much ok, recovery takes time. I am really proud of you!
