Newbie here, sharing recovery story
Hello! I just want to start with saying I think each and every one of you on here is so special and strong, if you’re here then you’ve already taken the big step, asking for help. Congrats on that! I would say I am still in recovery, it’s still an occasional battle for me, every few months I get that urge again. I’ve learned how to fight it for the most part at this point, but I’ve had slip ups since quitting 4 years ago. I know the big question is, how do you fight that urge? The best way I can answer that is it is different for everyone. Everyone has their own things that make it easier. But I will say the number 1 thing for everyone would be letting others in your life know who can keep you accountable. You shouldn’t have to do this alone. If you need an accountability partner, feel free to send me a message. If you just have questions or need support, I have all ears. 🖤💖
