Hi everyone. My name is Cassandra and Im 28 years old. Ive self-harmed in one way or another since about 7th grade. I used to kind of kill two birds with one stone when i was losing my fight with anorexia. The pain it caused my body and the over-exercising not only helped my body dysmorphia but calmed my self-harm needs. Ive also been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and PTSD fairly recently. Shortly after high school I started to purposefully hurt myself by hitting walls, my car, anything that could leave a deep, long-lasting bruise. Years later my mom died and that situation led to my PTSD diagnoses and an increase in anxiety and self-harm. I started to actually cut my arm and hand to find a better release. I still cant get the cutting under control, I now have spurts of anorexic tendencies followed by shame and comfort eating, my anxiety is more controlled than it was say a month ago, but my depression is still bad and I dont know how to pull my soul back together from all the shattered pieces.

Hey there, welcome to seven cups. I understand how you're feeling. It's a really difficult thing to move past. Just know you are in good company and there are others who are willing to support and listen to you.

Most of all be gentle on yourself :)
