Do I have a problem?
I have never had an addictive personality with anything so I suppose I don’t know what it’s like. I never really liked shots or hard liquor but once I started drinking beer I found myself drinking more. Especially since it’s a big social beverage. I started really liking it and started having one or two a day.
My boyfriend has started to become worried about me so I am trying to slow my roll. However I honestly crave beer, almost in the same way that I might crave like a soda. How much is too much? Can I allow myself one a day?
Is he worried for nothing or do I have a problem? I tried to look up how much is considered an addiction or alcoholism but it’s so confusing.

I think that this kind of stuff exists of a spectrum. So you may or may not have an addiction - we can't diagnose you here - but the fact you're making this post suggests to me you and your boyfriend have concerns about your drinking, and you would like to do something about it. Looking into that seems like a great idea.
It really does get confusing when you look at all the conflicting stuff online about this stuff. We do have some resources on alcohol addiction here on 7-cups that you could look into for a start here: 7cups Addiction Resources
Another idea might be to try out something like Moderation Management It was designed to help people who may be problem drinkers; but who would like support in order to moderate their drinking, in order to keep it in line with the recommended health guidelines. This doesn't work for everyone, and some people may find they do need to abstain completely, but it's just an idea that does seem to be helpful for some people.
In the end I think you are doing the right thing but contemplating your alcohol use, and learning more about addiction, regardless of what steps you do or don't decide to take in the end based on what you learn.
