Heavy drinking
hi! I’m new to this stuff. But basically I’m a very heavy drinker and it’s ruining me. And I don’t know what to do about it anymore 😕 I guess I’ve also never admitted that I had a drinking problem. I just pretend like I got it under control. And I don’t. I have been drinking everyday for the past 2 years. And before that I was just drinking most days out of the week. Then I turned 21 and was about to buy my own shit. I’m now 23 and weight 40 pounds heavier due to my drinking. I’m also just never all there anymore. It sucks. And I can’t bring my self to quit.

The first step to quitting is admitting you have a problem. It sounds like you're on the right track. If you want it bad enough, I believe you'll achieve it.
I’m similar. I drink most days because I feel like I need t to relax but it just makes me hate myself and messes me up
I’m in the same situation and I don’t even know where to begin.
I'm in the same boat. Tarnished relationships, lost jobs, dropping out college didn't faze me; as long as I had a drink. I could feel 'rock bottom' was nigh yet still drank but it was when I slowly started losing touch and couldn't trust my own thoughts and decisions

Essentially that was when I knew I had to stop. Try AA, you may or may not like 'em but doing what they do might save your life. It's hard but finding something that you like doing that you don't associate with booze really helps and we're all here if you want to talk.
I’m brand new to this app, but I’m 37 and mother right 2 and in the same boat. You’re not alone.
I have been drinking every evening heavily hard stuff but even beer and wine is heavy. It causes me not to want to do anything after work and on the weekends. I think about it when I am doing other things too. Going to give it to God ruins relationships, friends, and work. Plus eat more and gain weight
