I'm here cause I need to quit drinking
Hello everyone. I'm new here but I didn't know what else to do. I'm in my 12th year of drinking and it needs to stop. Is there anyone here who has been able to quit after so many years. Thank you
@Michaelasuperwoman1989 Hi Michaela, welcome to the community! We are delighted to have you here with us. Yay, I am so proud that you have reached out for support. You show great self awareness. I have no experience with drinking myself, but you are most certainly not alone. I hope you find the support and motivation you deserve as you embark on recovery. How have you been coping in the meantime?
If you have any questions or concerns, let us know. Best wishes, and hope to see you around. :)

at this time I have not quit drinking. however, a good support base is what I would recommend. I tried to tell my siblings, but they didnt take me seriously. my mom was overbearing. I'm finally reaching out to those who can help. what seems to help is talking to people with a similar experience. when looking for help it seems that the most sympathetic and helpful are people in the same situation. keep talking and keep asking. there are so many people out there in the same situation willing to help and share tips on how to survive. you can do this!
@astarael61 hello im john and i have been drinking for 11 years. I have had brief times of sobriety a week or two but the relapses are starting to get worst. Im still young so i am trying to live life but i keep slipping back in the vicious cycle. Im mentally exhausted and physical drained. Feel like my life is collapsing around me. I just need to know im not the only one.
